Stayed over after a night out and can say was impressed. Its been years since I was last in the hotel and what a difference. We had a good nights sleep and breakfast was good and plenty of room in the car park .Found the staff very friendly and if have a night out or at anything at that side of the city will definitely stay again.

Attended the hogmanay family dinner dance here with a large group of family and friends and had a fantastic evening. On arriving the check in procedure was really fast and the receptionist was very friendly. Our room was extremley clean and a nice size. My son managed to lock the door over with the key still inside the room shortly after we arrived, the recptionist was great about this and gave us 2 keys so myself and my husband had one each for going back and forth. The meal was delicious and good sized portions, all the staff where extremley friendly and kept on checking everything was ok at our table, even the manager was going around to ensure all the guests were happy. They were also great with the kids. The band was fantastice and a piper came out to bring in the bells which was a nice touch. We all had a great nights sleep with no noise in the corridor - which was great considering it was hogmanay and there were 3 functions going on it the hotel. In the morning we went through to the restaurant for breakfast, the lady serving was lovely and so helpful. The breakfast was nice with plenty to choose from, again great portion sizes served. Would recommend this lovely hotel to everyone.

We were attending a function at this hotel therefore decided to stay overnight. Room was a double. For an overnight stay room was adequate.
Must though praise the staff at the hotel. They were just first class. Nothing was too much bother and all with a smile.
Would I stay again? For an overnight stay yes I would.

Lunch here on a very quiet Tuesday.
Service good, food just average.
My burger overcooked and dry, my daughter's tuna salad average with under boiled potatoes.
The service was welcoming, quick and polite.
Food was presented well but not to a good standard.
Must try harder chef/kitchen!

recently lunched in the newly refurbished burnside hotel and was pleasantly surprised at the level of service and standard of food . Great value for money and will certainly return again .The décor in the new lounge area looks the bizz .

Only stayed for one night mid November 2013 to attend a Birthday party at a different venue. Staff were all very efficient and friendly and lots of them too which is great for speedy service. Rooms are dated but clean and for price paid £30 B&B met our needs.

Breakfast wasn't the best, very greasy, toast was really just warm bread, link sausage was awful, square sausage was good but no mushrooms, service was good.

Yes would stay again and to be fair the lounge area was busy at night with lots of people in for a meal so perhaps our breakfast was an off day for the chef.
