Finglen House is beautiful, a country house set in charming gardens and woodland complete with its own stream running close by and we couldn't have hoped for a warmer welcome from Sabrina, who greeted us with coffee and homemade cakes in the lounge we were told to treat as our own.
Our room was extremely comfortable, with fresh flowers, fruit and bottled water replenished each day. A comfy bed, fluffy towels, bathrobes, plenty of books and delicious breakfasts made our 4 night stay during the Commonwealth Games very enjoyable.
The situation is ideal, nestled at the foot of the hills and yet within easy reach of Glasgow and the lochs.

Room Tip: Our Cream room had beautiful views of the gardens. Although not en-suite, the bathroom was just a st...

From the moment we arrived we really felt at home at Finglen House as Sabrina served us coffee & home-made cake. Sabrina & Douglas were excellent hosts in their beautiful home set at the foot of the Campsie hills, providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle & bustle of Glasgow just 20 minutes away.
The house is full of character & our room was really comfortable (we were in Cream) with our own private bathroom just next door. Having just two letting rooms meant we got to know our fellow visitors at the breakfast table & enjoyed chatting & getting to know our hosts who were happy to give recommendations on places to eat & visit.
There is a bus stop at the bottom of the drive which takes you into Glasgow City centre if you want to explore the city by foot leaving the car behind: a really handy benefit.
We stayed for five nights during the Commonwealth Games & really enjoyed our stay. We'd certainly stay at Finglen House if travelling that way again. Thank you Mrs C!

Finglen House is a wonderful B&B. Fabulous hosts, peaceful location, very clean and comfortable
beds, excellent breakfast. If we require accommodation in that area will use again. We were at
a wedding locally so did not spend a lot of time there but would love to go back to sit in the
garden and relax.

Where to start. Finglen is a hidden gem, set in its own three acres of mature woodland and gardens.
The house is full of pictures, antiques, curios and extremely comfortable beds!
Apart from being a house it's also home to Sabrina and Douglas, who welcome you in with open arms
and treat you as part of the family during your stay.
Breakfasts are unforgettable, especially if you need fortifying for a days walking or cycling!
The cycle trail starts across the road, so bring your bike and give it a
Finglen also is the home to Delta and Echo, two happy spaniels who will happly sit at your feet especially if you have a sausage on your greakfast plate.
The surrounding countryside is fantastic with many places of interest to see close by.
We will undoubtably be going back again. Words alone cannot explain how fantastic a place Finglen is.
You need to be there to understand how unique it is. Give it a try! Bob & Helen Jackson

Room Tip: There are two rooms, one with en- suite. Both are lovely.

Finglen House is a traditional Scottish house run by Sabrina and Douglas to perfection. It is warm and comfortable.
It has a beautiful garden in a stunning setting at Campsie Glen.
Their welcome and kindness were exceptional and the hospitality first class.
Our dog Fergus was accepted by Delta and Echo and fun was had by all.
We stayed four nights and did not want to leave, we would love to stay again and can highly recommend Finglen House.

Finglen House was the perfect base for our weekend break. Sabrina and Douglas were just the nicest people you could hope to meet and were so friendly - they made our stay feel so relaxed - it was like a home from home. Thanks to their advice we visited some great places, did some fantastic walks and had a lovely meal in The Old Mill in nearby Killearn. Staying at Finglen House was not only welcoming and comfortable it was like a miniature art gallery - a stunning house with so much to see. It was also so nice to stay somewhere that was so relaxed about bringing along our dog George.....he LOVED the stay too - he got lots of extra attention, made friends with the cocker spaniels and spent his evenings curling up in front of the fire in the lounge. We would highly recommend a stay at Finglen - we plan to return next year and are looking forward to it already!
