We had two rooms for our family of 5. Two double beds in each room. Small rooms but very comfortable. Our rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable, staff was courteous, exercise facility was very good. My family enjoyed this facility very much.

During our PCS, we have stayed in MANY hotels. I was pleasantly surprised with the Thayer Hotel. Not only is it a beautiful, historic hotel, but rooms exceeded my expectations. Most older hotels that I have experienced have small, cramped rooms, but the 2 bed rooms at the Thayer were roomy and fit our family of 5 beautifully, with the use of the pull-out couch. We stayed on the front side of the hotel to avoid any noise from Zulu and it was very peaceful. The Thayer also has the most comfortable beds ever! They rival the JW Marriott "dream bed" :) With the military discount on top of it all, The Thayer Hotel was EXCELLENT!

The Thayer Hotel is very beautiful and of course, historic but the beds are in very poor condition. We stayed several nights for a family wedding. Many of our guests commented on the condition of their beds. Our bed should have had its box spring retired many months/yrs ago. The noise it made from the slightest movement was really unacceptable. We asked for it to be addressed twice, not only wasn't it fixed, no one even got back to us with an excuse or an apology. If you stay here, check out the bed immediately so you can change rooms as soon as possible.
We booked an executive suite and after we arrived at our room and unpacked several days of clothing, etc. learned that the wing did not have elevator service. So, if the elevator is something you need, ask about it when booking.

We attended a wedding downstairs, the air was not working appropriately, when we returned to our room we found a black bug on the bed when we pulled the sheets we found six others. They seemed to be a type of beetle. Security came and changed our sheets, pillows and blankets. However, they did nothing other than that to make amends. Obviously have some type of bug problem. When I reported it to the front desk in the morning they thanked me. Printed my bill and we left.

We were here for a wedding. Except for mixed up reservation which we quickly resolved we had a great stay. Our room was an executive suite with a pullout sofa bed. Large comfortable and quiet. I could only hear the train in the bathroom. Everyone was gracious. Food was good. Pricey but well worth it.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at The Historic Thayer Hotel at West Point while attending a wedding. Our Reservations Team is very accommodating, and is more than happy to assist guests in receiving the guestrooms they need for a wonderful stay. Our Execute Suites are newly renovated, and features many of our dedicated rooms. Dedicated rooms give guests a unique opportunity to stay in rooms that honoree some of our Nation’s great leaders. The Historic Thayer Hotel is no stranger to honoring West Point, and does so in many ways. When dining in MacArthur’s Riverview Restaurant, guests will see that our menu options are named after iconic military figures such as George Washington Geothals and General Simon Buckner, Jr. When walking the halls of our hotel, guests will see our banquet rooms are named after figures such as George Washington and Omar Bradley. It is our pleasure to remember the brave men and women that helped shape our Nation, and to share our passion with our guests which result in a historic and memorable stay.
