“Large Portions”
Reviewed 27 September 2013

I had a chicken caesar salad (at lunch) and it was enormous. Flavorful and enjoyable, but I couldn't finish it.

“What a change a new chef makes”
Reviewed 12 September 2013

We had dinner at City Cellar last Monday night. First of all Monday is half price bottle night for wines over $75 dollars, a revelation for wine lovers as their list contains many great wines. The appetizer flat bread of pork belly, cheese, egg and many herbs was incredible. The charcuterie platter was delicious and the burgers were perfectly charred outside and medium rare inside. The Service was impeccable and the evening was a joy with bottle of Hanzell chardonnay and Flowers chardonnay. I cant wait to try other food by the new and talented chef

“Man it's loud in here!”

If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy a romantic meal, this is not it. If a large wine list and being surrounded by lots of people, activity, and noise is your thing - this is your place.

“Ok nothing to brag about”
Reviewed 18 August 2013

I have been here numerous times. Twice in the last two months. My first trip about three months ago I sat at the bar. My friend and I ordered a glass of wine each both about $18 each. The wine glasses were dirty. The bartender for some reason acted like she was doing us a favor, she changed my friends glass and gave him a fresh wine ad left mine in the dirty glass. When I said I wanted a manager my glass was changed. Dirty wine glass in a place like this totally unacceptable. The food was good not great the service lacked. The second time about two weeks ago the service was good the food was okay and the prices very high - I have no problem paying more for an outstanding meal - this is not the case here. I would go back because they have a nice wine list but the place is very run down looking and the bathroom was dirty. Not the top of my list but okay if you are in the neighborhood

“Average, nothing more”
Reviewed 16 August 2013

Don't know why people rave about this place. Ok, the decor is tremendous, the wine list is extensive. But none of that is a substitute for finely prepared food. My scallops and shrimp were way, way too salty. Also, this is a big gripe of mine but when did it become universal to undercook scallops and call it medium rare??? I sent them back.
