My roommate and I went to see our favorite comedians live, the Wayans Brothers. Our seats were amazing. We had front row! Marlon even came and sat on my lap during his performance. I loved this venue because its a nice intimate setting. You really get to enjoy being in the presence of the comedians or talent you're seeing. We traveled from NYC and I would definitely take this long trip again. Nice venue.

It had been in very long while but we just saw the incredible Bill Maher at NYCB last night.
Immaculate venue but getting out if there from the paking lot is awful!

The Theatre has MANY positive features with very few negatives. I will do this is a pro/con format to make it easy.

PRO
1. Easy access from the Northern State Parkway (Brush Hollow Road exit) or the Long Island Expressway (Route 25 exit to Brush Hollow Road)
2. Free Parking. There is VIP parking that a fiver or a ten can help you get into if you don't have the proper pass....just saying
3. Easy entrance into building. The scanning of the tickets and security take no time at all.
4. Lounges. If you want to to early there is a lounge and an outside deck if you want to relax and be social before the show.
5. Variety of beers and drinks. There is a bar area for alcoholic drinks. They serve major beers and mircobrews and there is the water/soda option as well.
6. Not a bad seat in the house. There are 2800 seats that all have a good view and the sound is loud. Bring earplugs! Oh and you are very close to the stage.
7. Great staff!!!

CONS
1. Ticket office can be slow.
2. There are usually lines for the concessions, but they add stand up concessions in the arena and at the doors. They do everything they can. You can tell they try to accommodate.
3. Getting out can take a little while after you are in your car.

That's about it.
You will have a good time and see quality shows without breaking the bank. If you have opportunity, see a show there.

Of the many great qualities of the Theater at Westbury, the fact that it can rain like crazy and it will not effect the show is important to me. I've had to endure torrential rain at Jones Beach Theater too many times, although I love that venue on a beautiful summer evening.
Lately there have been many very good shows scheduled at Westbury Music fair, as we old timers remember it...lol! Recently saw The Moody Blues from the second row! Not much of a chance of that at most other theaters unless you get very lucky. "In the round" or "half round" all of the seats are good, many of them great. Seems the sound quality is better about 8 rows or more back, but it's still a thrill to see your favorite artists up close.
Parking is included in the ticket price and if you get there an hour or so early you can get a good spot. There is a nice outdoor deck to hang out on when you come early, and sometimes radio stations give out prizes there just for answering easy trivia questions. Bathrooms are clean and there are 2 ladies rooms and 2 men's near the lobby and also back by the VIP section.
I would have dinner before going though because prices for drinks and snacks are high. I have had no problem bringing in a bottle of water and trail mix or granola bars in my bag. Sometimes they check, most times not, but I think they're looking for liquor or weapons, not water.
I have seen so may shows, concerts and plays there over the years and almost all have been a fun, if not exhilarating experience!
