Went to dinner last night to this restaurant. The attmosphere was pleasant, adequate, nothing exceptional- table clothes on the tables. There was a baby grand piano, and someone playing the whole night which was very enjoyable. The food and service was excellent! At the beginning of the meal, they bring you a complementary plate with chicken pate and two pieces of bread with cheese on it. We don't eat meat and so they took the plate back, took off the pate and added two slices of tomato with mazzarella on it. My filet of sole entre was delicate and delicious as was my husbands salmon dish. Mine came with a large side of mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. His just came on a bed of spinach. An additional carb would have been appreciated. At the end of the meal they provide each table with a complimentary plate of biscotti's AND a complimentary small glass of homemade pepermint-chello, which was also delicious! A nice surprise. We were able to find parking on the street. The chef came out several times and asked how things were, which is always appreciated. The restaurant was crowded, so reservations are encouraged. There apeared to be many people who come there regularly. The age bracket of the patrons were older, if you are 60, be prepared to be part of the younger crowd! That said, i would defitely return, as the food and service were really great.

This restaurant changed owners back in 2010 and is now know as Galleria Restaurant. Much of the staff has remained and John, the room Captain is still there after 20 plus years. The food continues to be outstanding and the interior has been spruced up and the glossey gold bands that that accented the walls have been replaced with a cherry wood which gives the place a warmer feel. The crowd is on the older side and are mostly regulars. Almost no one doers off the menu because the specials are all great picks.Their veal chop is my favorite and if you want a salad to start, split it with someone, the serving is large. Typically you don't have room for dessert and that's fine because you usually get a small place of varied sweets at the end and some sort of after dinner drink on the house. The down side to this place since it changed hands is the slow service. It's very friendly but there is not enough waiters. The place was full and two waiters were not enough. There was no bar tender so they had to make their own drinks. We, along with three other groups, had 7:30 reservations and had to wait 20 minutes for our table. Once seated, it took a little over 2 hours for dinner. That's bearable if you are meeting friends that you haven't seen for a while and want to catch up but you might get thirsty between drinks. Get more staff and the place will be a 'home run' again like it was when Dominick was the owner.

The revitalization of Post Avenue in Westbury includes this establishment, which harkens back to a more civilized manner of enjoying a good Italian meal. Pay special attention to the large specials menu that the jacketed waitstaff presents impeccably. We'll be back!

This classic Italian restaurant in Westbury is a great find if you are looking for great food for a fair price. The menu choices are innumerable and if you don't like what the menu has to offer or the specials, the chef will make the dish the way you like it. Granted it's an older crowd, but usually those are the people that can afford to pay a little more for their dinner. The space is somewhat crowded on Saturday night, but reservations are honored. Just bring your appetite and your wallet.
