“Peaceful and Quiet”
Reviewed 21 June 2011

I recently stayed for one night at the Brick House. I didn't want to leave. I wanted to come back and stay the next night and the next and the next. It was so quiet and peaceful and beautiful! My bed was comfortable with soft and luxurious linens. The breakfast was delicious. My stay was lovely.

Randy and Lori were perfect hosts for our annual reunion of college friends. We booked the whole Brick House for two nights, and it was an ideal place to relax and catch up. We lingered over delicious breakfasts and talked far into the evening in the comfortable parlor. Our rooms were beautifully furnished, and the beds were luxurious.

There is a lot to see and do in the Chautauqua area, but even if you never leave the house you will have an enjoyable time. The hosts' warm hospitality and the little extra touches you will discover during your stay will make you will feel happy to be there. Highly recommended.

We stayed here one evening to attend a wedding at the Chautauqua Institution. The Brick House is lovely - with high ceilings and generously sized rooms, on gorgeous grounds (vineyards in view) and with ample parking. The inn keepers, Randy and Lori, went out of their way to ensure that everything we needed (or could want) was at hand, from bottled chilled water to chocolates by the bedside to a room full of games and microwave popcorn to free wireless access. The breakfast was wonderful - fresh fruit, free range eggs, and an assortment of extraordinary homeade breads. Have your morning coffee on one of the porches and listen to the birds singing. The location is a good base for exploring, very near the Institution, and also right in the center of the wine trail. We enthusiastically recommend!

From the moment we arrived to when we left, we were blessed by Randy's warm and generous hospitality. The room was gorgeous and there were treats and a gift waiting for us. The Brick House is very spacious with a beautiful lounging area and a game room with all kinds of games, as well as a refrigerator stocked with bottled water. The breakfast is incredible and there are cookies and hot beverages available all day. There are porches where you can just relax and listen to the many birds. A wonderful time. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are gorgeous!

My friend and I take annual road trips to explore areas in and around southern Ontario, but this time decided to explore New York and Pennsylvania states. First shopping in Erie and staying at larger hotel chains.
But we love the entire experience of B&B's and so after visiting Chautauqua Institute and the area in general traveling thru Amish country and wineries and back roads, we found the Brick House Bed and Breakfast, sadly on our last night of the trip. After a dinner at a local Italian restaurant recommended highly by Randy, we enjoyed the B&B, sat in the Great Room and ate our dessert with tea in the dining room, what a lovely evening after our hectic trip. The Maple View room is beautiful and comfortable,
The breakfast was wonderful, the history of the house and area most informative and talking with Randy was fun too.

I am planning another trip to a show at the Institute and we will stay at the Brick House, hoping in late August there will be a room available for my partner and I.

Thank you for being such a great host. Gail

Red Brick B&B is a beautiful home in a beautiful area. Randy, Lori and Sophie are excellent B&B hosts who make you feel well cared for but not hovered over. The interior decor matches the beauty of the victorian home that is very clean, comfortable, quiet and relaxing. The breakfast buffet is absolutely excellent. Randy and Lori offer excellent freshly home made pastries, muffins and breads, egg dishes, fruit, and pancakes with fresh syrup from the maples around their home.

The hosts are absolutely charming and love to pamper their guests. How many places give you both souvenir mugs and complimentary snacks? I had never known such place until the Brick House B&B. And I have stayed at a number of luxury hotels. Breakfast was fabulous: Lot of fresh fruit, farm -fresh eggs and that is just for starters. And the rooms wrap you in luxury: Beautiful antiques and decorations. It was a schelp from Fredonia, which was our main destination. But the B&B was worth the time and effort to get there.

Room Tip: Call well in advance!
