This is one of my favorite hikes in the Woodstock area. It is steep as all get out, but the reward is remarkable. Kids have an easier time scrambling up than I do, but I still love it as an adult. It is a wide path that narrows at the summit and meanders in different directions. You can walk through or around the old Mountainhouse, very cool. Then wander up to the tippy top and check out the fire tower and timber rattler(s).
Parking is limited so get there early.
