Woodstock Holistic B&B
Reviewed 10 March 2014

I came across the website for the B&B by chance and it couldn't have been a greater find! Eva was a lovely and charming innkeeper and welcomed us with a warm smile and her joyful dog. We had never tried a B&B where you can make your own breakfast and we loved it. We could wake up at our leisure and cook together. It was a home away from home with gorgeous touches - no television, the meditation space, bookshelf with books for any reading interest. The local restaurants are great. We especially enjoyed exploring Woodstock and Rhinebeck and found a treasure we had been looking for in the Antique Market. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend. We will definitely be back!!

We arrived here on the 21 December and were greeted by Eva, the suite is set back from the main town and is in a quieter part of Woodstock in a wooded area. We soon decided it was the perfect romantic getaway which is what we hoped for. Eva was very helpful and talked us through the room facilities, including the fab spa bath and sauna. The items provided for breakfast were delicious and we made breakfast when we wanted. You can walk to the town centre if you want, which if full of quaint little shops and a few hippies still hanging around. We had both come for rest, romance and relaxation. There were a couple of minor issues that were dealt with immediately the same day. On our departure Eva presented us with a nice bottle of wine.

We would definitely consider coming back!

Tranquil and inviting accommodations situated within walking distance of the heart of artsy chic Woodstock.

Very private and excellent service that anticipated our needs before we knew we had them!

Great place for a weekend to get away from it all and relax. Loved the fireplace which made for wonderfully relaxing evenings.

The only thing that could have been better was the breakfast options, though delicious and nutritious they were lacking variety. Otherwise all fantastic!

My fiance and I stayed at the Woodstock Holistic B&B towards the end of October. Eva is super personable and nice to work with. She made us feel welcome even before we arrived. We stayed at the Mandala Suite is very quaint and had many personal touches such as candles in the bathroom and organic goodies in the kitchen. The dark chocolate bar is a must ! The suite was well kept and clean. Anyone looking to unwind and relax should seriously consider this lovely B&B. Having access to your own personal sauna, cast iron fireplace and skylight over your bed is wonderful. Great location, terrific hostess and the Red Onion restaurant is amazing !

If anyone is looking for some place to vacation in upstate New York, I highly recommend Woodstock Holistic B&B. I was there last week and it's my new favorite vacation spot. It's perfectly located in the woods for peace and quiet, but it's literally a 10 minute walk to the center of town where there are a ton of cute shops and restaurants. Not to mention all the hiking in the area. Plus, Eva is super nice and she stocked my fridge with more food than I could possibly eat. She gave me some excellent dining suggestions and even made reservations for me at The Red Onion for my last night there. And don't forget the massage! The only thing I didn't like was that I had to leave! I'll definitely be returning.

We were stayed at the Woodstock B&B a couple weeks ago to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was wonderful! So relaxing and peaceful. The B&B is the best of both worlds - in the woods, next to a stream where you feel a million miles away from everything, and yet a short walk into the lovely town of Woodstock. Eva was wonderful - very helpful but not overbearing. Our suite was beautiful, complete with everything we could've wanted and then some. I wish I had a few more days to sort through the amazing library in our room! Thanks so much and we look forward to returning soon!

The B&B is situated about a 5 minute walk from the center of Woodstock, in the woods just off of a quiet street. We stayed in the Mandala Suite, which has a private entrance off a porch on the side of the house. The room was spacious and very well kept. The bedroom had a big comfortable bed underneath a skylight, a gas stove fireplace, and a two-person dining table. Next to it was a very small fully-stocked kitchen just big enough to cook breakfast. It had a hotplate stove, tiny sink, and small fridge, and was stocked with plenty of good quality ingredients: coffee, tea, fresh eggs, yogurt, soy pudding, and oatmeal. And then there's the bathroom: beautifully tiled, open and spacious, with a huge jacuzzi tub (and a retractable shower head if you aren't into baths), and a private cedar-paneled dry sauna with two benches, easily big enough for two to lie down and not feel cramped. It was a real highlight, and it was amazing to come back from a day of hiking and know you can go right into your own sauna to relax and recover.

Before we even arrived, Ashley was incredibly helpful by email helping us arrange our trip, suggesting things to do and giving us restaurant recommendations. Instead of driving all the way up from NYC, we decided to take the train to nearby Rhinecliff and rent a car near Woodstock instead. Ashley helped organize the car rental, and even offered to pick us up from the train station when we arrived! Her responsiveness and enthusiasm to help really relieved a lot of the stress of planning the trip, so we arrived relaxed knowing everything was taken care of.

The proximity to downtown Woodstock meant that you can walk into town easily to go shopping or find somewhere to eat. Within walking distance, we really liked Bread Alone for breakfast/brunch, and the Italian restaurant Cucina for a nice dinner. Bear Cafe, a little too far to walk to, was also excellent for dinner.

We also highly recommend going hiking nearby to Kaaterskill Falls, an easy half-mile hike to an impressive multi-level waterfall, or Overlook Mountain, a difficult 2.5 mile steep uphill, but worth it to see the really cool abandoned ruins of a hotel, and a truly breathtaking ledge with amazing views over the whole Hudson Valley: Kingston, Rhinebeck, and far beyond.

We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway upstate. We hope to be back soon!
