Perfect weekend getaway! From the pool (and hot tub!) to whole wheat blueberry pancakes to a very comfortable bed, this bed and breakfast is a great place if you need some peace and quiet. Everything was extremely clean and well taken care of, and the hosts were friendly but not intrusive. As soon as we walked in, it was a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made it feel like home. Highly recommended!!

We stayed at the Enchanted Manor two weekday nights in August. We were in the cottage, a separate little guesthouse off the main house.

Pros:

- Very comfortable, spotless room.
- Wonderful big in-ground heated pool with a large deck and hot tub that was clean and worked well.
- Big Jacuzzi in the little guesthouse we were in - large, clean bathroom.
- Pretty grounds, a couple of cleared acres surrounded by woods.

Cons:

- Too expensive - we paid $530-something for two nights, and she gave us a deal for the cottage, which is usually more.
- Claudia, our host, was very nice but was inattentive and preoccupied with her own new-agey stuff - we had to ask for everything - breakfast especially. She had said b'fast was available between 9 and 10:30 - so when we came into the kitchen there was nothing set. She asked when we wanted to eat - I said "Twenty minutes", but half an hour later she hadn't started. Then she asked us "What do you want for breakfast?" That felt uncomfortable, and we had to wait around while she made us each breakfast, instead of having choices laid out or at least a menu. For that kind of dough, I want to be surprised with interesting choices instead of what felt like bothering the host to make us something quickly. This happened both mornings.
- A number of her family members and friends were visiting, using the kitchen and the pool, again making us feel a bit like we were intruding.

So - altogether a mixed bag. I wouldn't stay there again because of the high cost, but I might because of the great pool if it weren't so expensive.

We chose enchanted manor for our long weekend in the Catskills and we had a lovely stay. The B&B is centrally located and we found it easy to get into Woodstock, saugerties, hiking, and new paltz. We chose the buttercup room; the kitchty decor was fun and the bathroom spacious. Owner Claudia had great suggestions for restaurants. If you are a foodie you may be a little disappointed but the breakfast was made to order and Claudia make s a great fresh watermelon juice drink. The pool and jacuzzi added to the relaxing atmosphere.

My wife and I visited Woodstock to celebrate our anniversary and stayed at the manor in the Master Suite for the weekend. Our hosts, Claudia and Rolan are warm, gracious, caring people and made us feel very welcome in their home/bed and breakfast. The room was immaculate, had great light and was very romantic. The bathroom hot tub was perfect and again everything was super clean. We had breakfast both days and Claudia was extremely accommodating to our schedules. We plan on visiting Woodstock again and we wouldn't have to think twice about staying at the Manor again.

My wife and I went away to woodstock looking for a peacefull romantic getaway upstate in the widernesss for her bday. The room we got was the master suite, which had a jacuzi whirlpool tub and a living room area with a fireplace. The room was quite spacticular and the grounds were breath taking but there was some oddities to contend with so be for-warned. In the bathroom they supplied us with USED! shampoos and a used bar of soap in the shower. We shugged it off and went to the local CVS and bought our own shampoos and soaps. When they cleaned the room the next day they took away the supplies we just bought and replaced them with the used stuff. When we asked what the story was the woman running the place (not the owners) was very apolegenic and explained to us that the owners were into a natural way of living style also that there was a permenent (high paying) guest living in the back cottage who was hypo-alergenic. Hey Im paying 325 a night for this room, that aint no chicken feed. Why would her allergies be a problem if she lives in the back cottage and not the room we were using. Anyhow after searching around we got our stuff back. Another Incedent was I asked about the getting a fire started in the fireplace ( the main reason I chose that room) The woman running the the show chantel said no problem when the woman renting the back cottage(estelle) butted in no that the fireplace was not allowed to be used and would not give the reason why. Chantel then offered to make us one in the upstairs fireplace, when estelle once again chimed in that that one could not be used either. I think its because miss allergy queen did not like the smoke is the feeling I got. Whatever I wasnt going to let it ruin our weekend. Chantel I must admitt tried the best she could to be helpfull and understanding and told us she would knock some money off the staying price. Well by the time it was check out time the owners had returned and when they ran my card did not know about chantels offer to knock something off the price, chantel explained the situation but the owner had already run the card so she offered me cash back, the bill was 715 and she offered me 15 back, OH gee how generous, I told her to just forget about it I just wanted to get out of there, she offered me some cheesey costume jewlery for sale in the living room instead, I declined and finally ended up taking the 15 bucks. All in all the place is very nice but we felt very uncomforatable there. Myself I would never stay there again but hey if you can put up with the oddities its not a bad place but leave the shoes behind there not allowed either.

We visited the Enchanted Manor for the week-end. We stayed in the "cottage" which looked almost like a shed from outside, but was beautiful on the inside. It was nicely decorated with a two person Jacuzzi tub that looked out on the forest. It was a little smaller then we thought it would be from the pictures, but it suited us nicely. It was a beautiful property. There was a nice lake and a lovely pool.

Breakfast was served in the dining room with big glass windows where we could see the surrounding forest and pond. We saw a duck with ducklings as well as some deer. It was very relaxing. Breakfast was made by request and I really enjoyed the French toast. Not the place to go if you want sausage and bacon in the morning as the menu seemed to avoid meat, but we did have some very interesting and tasty whole grain pancakes.
