“A fall getaway”
Reviewed 20 November 2013

My wife and I travelled to the state park in the beginning of October for a quick 2 night camping getaway. As we arrived on a Sunday and departed on a Tuesday, we didn't make any reservations. We arrived at the park around noonish and lucked out with a great site. We set up and walked around the park. We both were very impressed with the cleanliness of the entire park especially the bathrooms. We stayed in the 200 section and had a water front sit which was massive. The electrical outlet box is well placed and sturdy unlike other parks where your electrical cord falls out of the receptacle. We look forward to our next stay in 2014 which we have already made for the same site.

“Great State Park”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

We had a great time staying at this State Park. There was so much space on and around the camp site. We were lucky to have 4 sites in a row and our kids could run and play. Not to mention the incredible sunset that we got to see nightly thanks to Mother Nature. The park was super close to Niagara Falls and we were able to buy out passes there and then park for free while visiting Niagara Falls. The bathrooms were cleaned more than 1x per day which you rarely see at a camp ground.

“Clean, beautiful campground”
Reviewed 20 August 2013

Great campground with spacious sites. We were fortunate to get a lakefront site-234. You can't normally get down to the water, as there is a pretty steep hill with trees, to break the wind coming off the lake. But the previous campers dug out dirt steps, so made it nice to sneak down & sit on the rocks. Just beautiful & peaceful. Park was quiet & clean, with clean bathrooms & hot showers. Only complaint was the camping store was never open & registration office closes early too. So make sure you stop & get anything you need before you get there, ie. ice, firewood. There is a tiny grocery (meloni's) & tiny Rite Aid about 5 minutes away in Youngstown. Walmart about 15 in Niagara. Niagara Falls only 20 minutes. Would definitely stay there again!

“A beautiful state park”
Reviewed 16 August 2013

This was a beautiful state park. The site was plenty big and we could see Lake Ontario across the street. We walked to the big park and watched the sunset and could see across the lake to the Ontario skyline. The park was very quiet and peaceful. The bathhouse was clean and not too far away. We rode our bikes and walked all around the campground. Niagara Falls and Old Fort Niagara were not far away.
