We bought a Living Social coupon for a two-night stay at Archer Mountain Inn so we decided to come here for my birthday.
The first night our dinner was delicious, except I wanted it a little hotter (I've never really found restaurants where they get the food hot enough for me). This caught the attention of executive chef Anthony Burton.
We had a nice chat about peppers that have heat and how to make good hot without losing the flavor and taste in it. This morning he made my omelet PERFECTLY seasoned. He told me that he had brought some hot peppers from home for me. He said that he was going to make a special dish just for me for dinner.
Tonight my grouper & shrimp combo was amazing. He made it hot and the rest of the cream sauce made this explosion of flavor happen in my mouth. I've honestly never tasted American food that was this delicious anywhere.
We travel a lot, and this statement applies to American cuisine served at restaurants across the US. That's impressive! I wish I lived closer. I would come back every weekend to taste the food.
