I had the pleasure of spending one night as a guest in the Ann Street Bed and Breakfast--a charming, colonial-inspired two-story home, which epitomized Southern history and comfort down to the paint trim. This was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast, so I truly had no clue as to what I should expect. As I walked into the beautiful, antique-filled home, I was greeted my Donna, the owner, and we immediately became engaged and enthralled in conversation. Her hospitality was impeccable. She made it her top priority to ensure that I had absolutely everything I needed, that I was comfortable, and that I felt "at home." Donna succeeded and even surpassed my greatest expectations.
Additionally, since this trip marked my first visit ever to Beaufort, Donna also advised me on which restaurant would be the best to visit for dinner. I ended up frequenting "Still Water" and it was absolutely delicious! After a long day, I came back to my very spacious room and bathroom and rested exceptionally well. Although I had to leave quiet early the next morning, Donna made me breakfast before her typical breakfast time just so that I wouldn't be forced to travel on an empty stomach. Of course, it should come as no surprise that the food was incredible, thus rounding off a lovely visit to our state's incredible little coastal town known far and wide as Beaufort.
