“A must visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

I had made a reservation for 7:30pm, but we got hungry before then and called to see if we could be seated at that time. No problem! Had a table inside, but by the windows, so still a great view of the water. Our server (Jonathan) was prompt, attentive, knowledgable and always smiling. We both had the mixed grill - shrimp, scallops and mahi mahi - ABSOLUTELY the BEST seafood I've ever eaten!! Kudos to the cook! And the bakery is awesome, the bread was excellent and the dessert - coconut custard pie - to die for! We were both blissfully full and completely satisfied when we left. Will definitely visit again when we return!

“Great View and Decent Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2014 via mobile

The pros:
- Views of the water are great
- Food is fresh
- Clean and well decorated interior
- Well stocked bar
- Soups are delicious

The cons:
- Basically a soup, salad and sandwich shop. If you're looking for seafood platers, look elsewhere.

- At 12:15PM on a Monday, it took 50 minutes for two sandwiches, a shrimp salad and a kids pizza. The restaurant was about 80% full. We noticed 3 other tables that arrived after we did get served first.

Spouters is a nice place to have a light lunch, but the wait ruined it for us. Especially with a 7 and 4 year old.

If you're looking for a nice quiet spot to watch the water with your better half, and have time to kill, it's perfect.

“Always enjoyable experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2014

Shrimp and grits are fabulous but so was the Mahi Mahi au gratin! Nice views and service has been consistently good. This has become a favorite dining experience when we are in Beaufort! Will not disappoint.

“Great ambiance - foods good too”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

We had dinner here on the outdoor deck. The weather was perfect and the views wonderful. We watched the dolphins swimming out to the ocean.
Service was very good and the staff attentive. I had a grouper dish which was on the special - it was a bit undercooked but the waitress told the manager and she came and made restitution. It is obvious they want you to leave satisfied. Another member of my party had the ribs which were a very generous portion (1/2 rack). She enjoyed the dish and a side of lobster tail.
We took home a peanut butter and chocolate cream pies - both were to die for.
They have beautiful art on display - we later visited the gallery on Craven street and purchased some pieces.
All in all it was a beautiful evening and experience at the restaurant.

“Nice place to eat on the water”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

This restaurant is located at the west end of Front Street with tables out over the water. On a nice day, it's a great place to eat and watch the activities along the waterfront. The food is very good and the ambiance is really nice. It can be a bit noisy inside sometimes, so try and get a seat outside.
