If loads of breaded deep fried seafood loaded up on piles of fried hushpuppies, then this is not your place. However, if you are looking for a high-quality meal, then look no further than Front Street Grill at Stillwater. Our group arrived after 8:00pm in the middle of the week, but the staff was accommodating for our large party and well versed on the menu and features. The Parmesan Crusted Flounder and the Blacken Mahi-Mahi was fabulous. Appetizers and desserts were amazing.

Our Christmas present was a gift card to Stillwater and we finally went. Yum! Great service! Very friendly! We sat on the deck over looking Taylor's Creek. Dolphins playing and jumping would have made it awesome. Great local restaurant!

Let me start off by saying the ONLY reason the review for this restaurant was poor instead of terrible was because the food was good. There were 7 adults in our party and we arrived around 12:30 for a celebratory brunch. I've worked in restaurants for years, I have been in the kitchen, waited tables and even managed a restaurant and was appalled at the service we received. The hostess pointed across the room and said "Your table is over there." So we looked at where she was pointing and made our way to our seats. The waitress seemed disinterested in ensuring we had a good dining experience since we observed her texting on her phone (next to the table) and engaging in conversations with other waitstaff while we waiting for things such as refills for drinks. We had to ask about the specials and she seemed put out that she had to relay them to us. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time since freshly cooked meals do take time to prepare. The kitchen staff did a great job in the preparation of our meals. When distributing the plates to the table, the waitress remained at the head of the table and had our party pass plates down the table. She could not be bothered to move from her spot to deliver the food. We ordered a couple of desserts to share and the waitress brought us an extra complimentary dessert to "apologize for the wait on the food". We were all a little surprised since we felt there weren't any issues with the length of time the food took. After the meal, the couple that recommended we celebrate at this establishment was embarrassed and apologized repeatedly for the bad experience. While I understand that working in a restaurant is a very stressful job, you have to be prepared for the days where there may be busier than normal days such as Father's Day. Had the restaurant been packed to capacity or there were less than the 7 empty 2 and 4 tops around us, we would have understood the decline in service. However, since that was not the case, we do not feel that there was an reason for what we experience. I will never recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a good dining experience and I will not be back.

We enjoyed excellent food and service and a wonderful view of the water at dinner. We particularly enjoyed the tomato bisque. We have enjoyed the same level of quality on previous visits. This is a reliable choice in Beaufort.

Waitress was pleasant. Bartender, charming. Food was hot and timely. X-tra sides were not charged on our bill. The ambiance was perfect; as was the weather.
