Description: City Kitchen is a Waterfront Restaurant with approachable American Cuisine that is kicked up a notch. Just like our great country, the chef draws from our diverse ethnic mix, with Southern, Asian, Hispanic and other influences. City Kitchen's cuisine is imaginative yet familiar. We are an unpretentious restaurant, with an inviting decor and awesome food! (Our desserts are pretty darn tasty too!) Dinner Tues - Sat 5:30pm-until We also have a Waterfront-open air bar that is open in Season on Fri and Sat evenings. Call for hours as this is weather dependent.

“Great food with a Great View”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

This restaurant was a grand surprise; a little off the beaten track above the Yacht Club, surrounded on three sides by a stellar view of the water and boats, I didn't know it existed. The food was really good--the shrimp and grits was not served as expected (shrimp grilled on skewers crossed atop a grit cake), but was very good. The hamburger was a hit with one of our party--juicy and thick. I really enjoyed the baked oysters and crab cake appetizers. Wine list is good. Desserts are amazing--made on premises by one of the owners.
Reservations are a good idea.

“Don't hesitate”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

Had a great meal at City Kitchen. We were able to sit on the deck even though we hadn't requested it in our reservation. Everyone was very welcoming. Heather provided superb service. Our party of four enjoyed the housemade potato chips with aioli, baked oysters, shrimp and grits, rib eye and chicken over jasmine rice. All were wonderful. Couldn't decide on dessert so we ordered three: toffee pudding, coconut cake, and peach cobbler...each was delicious on its own, but if we had to pick, the toffee pudding was the best.

Can't wait to get back to the beach and Beaufort!

“Gorgeous fantastic view and sunsets with cuisine that even tops the view!”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

So proud to take my guests to a restaurant that could stand on its own with five stars and no view but you add the incredible Marina location and City Kitchen is off the charts. The food is excellent with a unique and creative array of choices and great local seafood. It is a pricey restaurant and worth every penny.

“A Little Pricey, but Worth It!”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

If we had to do it over again, we might have dined inside instead of outside, simply because it was rather windy. We were actually advised to not order a salad because of the stiff breeze. It was a little overpriced, but the food and service were great! My wife enjoyed the herb-roasted chicken, and I ordered the incredible thai meatballs for an appetizer, and the black-eyed pea cake with bacon-braised collards and tomato sauce. Absolutely delicious! They had a blackened grouper as a special, which sounded good, but at $32, we decided against it. We shared a brownie/cheesecake dessert with fresh whipped cream, and it was really rich. Almost too rich, but delicious nonetheless. It was definitely upscale, and if we can afford it, we'll be back.

“Wonderful marina side dining”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

City Kitchen is a secret treasure in Beaufort, North Carolina! The pimento cheese on crostini was delicious. The roasted chicken with a curry sauce over jasmine rice with fresh vegetables on the side was absolutely divine. The homemade desserts were heavenly and the atmosphere was so pretty The staff were welcoming and attentive. A wonderful place!
