“Peaceful cabin tucked away yet convenient to everything!”
Reviewed 11 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Beautiful log cabin high up on Beech Mountain with gorgeous views of the valleys and incredible sunsets. Very comfortable for large families (2 king, 1 queen and 2 twin sofa/futons) with a well outfitted kitchen and fun loft play area for kids. Also has a fun game room area in the basement with pool table and a large hot tub where you can watch the sunset over the valley.

No cell service for most carriers at the house, but we enjoyed being disconnected from some of the technology (house has DirecTV and a wi-fi router, so you have the option of connection if desired). Despite the feeling of being remote, it's within 30 minutes or so of Boone & Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain.

Only two drawbacks for us were lack of trash service so we had to take it with us and try to find a place to dispose of it, and that most of the window screens had holes in them so we couldn't open windows to let in the beautiful cool mountain air.

That said, we had a great stay and the owners were very responsive to questions and requests.
