“Awesome after a hike”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013

We live in Asheville, and regularly hit black mountain for outdoor persuits. The ale house consistently delivers excellent beer, pub grub, and local atmosphere. It's perfect for quality food, watching the game, and great local beer. What else is there on a Sunday afternoon?

“Has potential”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 October 2013

We stopped in for burgers after going to the Pisgah Brewery. The burgers and fries were decent, but not what you'd expect from a pub. Beer selection was good. There were only two servers (and one of them was also working the bar), but they did a great job keeping tabs on us. If the quality & taste of the food improved a bit, this would be a great place.

“Good Spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2013

Interesting pub - burgers were really good and the beer selection was good. Has a nice atmosphere - very "local" feeling. Great spot to stop at to relax and grab a bite.

“Good pub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2013 via mobile

Food was great and tasty. Service was adequate for a pub. Just a bit pricey for what we got but would stop again. They did have 15 local micro brews in tap.
