“Great little market!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

The artisan is half shop and half cafe. The market has a beautiful selection of local products and very reasonable prices on meat. The cafe side serves great sandwiches, soups, etc. along with coffee, smoothies and wine and beer. They have gluten free bread which is a plus for me. The wine tastings are a fun Thursday event. Glad to have this nice little market close to home!

“Charming deli for lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

My wife and I are in Black Mountain frequently and chose the Artisan Deli for lunch this day. Friendly service and charming atmosphere. Good variety of deli sandwiches. Flat bread pizza and heavy appetizers, too. I had the Ruben. Tangy sauerkraut and tender corned beef on marbled rye. Delicious. My wife had the Mozzarella, tomato, w/pesto dressing on a ciabatta. Perhaps a little too mild, but good. Tomato Basil soup was standard. Atmosphere inside was clubby dark wood, comfortable, quiet. Outdoor seating as well. Spent some time in the adjacent market and wine shop. Excellent selections. Local produce and farm to table goods. Will return to try the breakfast menu. Located on Rt. 9 south of I-40. Recommended.

“A Must Visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 March 2014 via mobile

A wonderful place to shop for those culinary delights that wouldn't be easily found at the local market. While visiting Lake Lure from
Charleston, we rode over to Black Mountain and were well taken with this great place to find home made specialty sausages, such as andouille and chorizo. So much from which to select--absolutely fantastic. Can't wait until our next visit.

“My neighborhood coffee wine bar”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 January 2014 via mobile

This is the place to go for coffee/breakfast sandwich in the a.m., lunch, wine/beer at night. When in black mountain, my husband and I go every morning.

Excellent homemade packaged foods like salads, quality meats for the grill, and catering for gatherings. Thursday nights are informal wine tasting nights. The owners are onsite and take pride in their products and services. They are always tweaking and improving to meet customers' needs.
