Loved Bob Timberlake's extensive collection on display. It dates to his childhood when his interest in painting started. Has some of his first tools of the trade and pictures. Love seeing the crayons and table where he worked as a child. Also, shows beautiful work he has done thru the years. Very worth going to see. Could spend a whole day in this section alone!

For a one street town, we were very suprised and pleased at the BRAHM here in Blowing Rock. The three story building openened in Oct 2011. Wonderful exhibits from local craftsman, potters, and painters. They also have a Civil War exhibit. They also have a theater with a video, but we did not see it. $8 per person.

My family and I took a day trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway and visited Boone, NC, Blowing Rock and Grandfather mountain. Easy to follow along the parkway, Blowing Rock is a treasure to see. Easy to follow paths with breath taking views. We went in the heat of the summer so we were not able to witness the fact that locals say snow blows upside down! Cute gift shop attached to path. Places to sit and relax, food within the complex and beautiful gardens alongside trails.
