“You Will Love Chetola Resort!”

Chetola Mountain Resort is a breathtaking property in the heart of the quaint village of Blowing Rock. Chetola has both lodge and condo accommodations and both are comfortable and affordable. Our family has been visiting Chetola at least once a year for the past several years and it is our favorite winter vacation destination. Lovely accommodations, gorgeous scenery and helpful, personable employees abound. The grounds and property are attractive and well maintained. Be sure to check out the hiking trails behind the resort at Moses Cone National Park! There is plenty to do in Blowing Rock and nearby Boone, Valle Crucis and Banner Elk ... and a great variety of good restaurants ranging from family style to white linen. Chetola Resort & Blowing Rock are highly recommended!

We were taking a "slow" trip through VA and NC, and needed a place to stay. I called Chetola on route and they accommodated us for 3 nights at a good rate. We stayed in the lodge.

We both fell in love with this resort. The room was clean, large and also had a fridge and small microwave. The grounds are gorgeous, and it is a nice walk up to Blowing Rock. But the best part were the employees, especially the front desk. Carol and Justine were just lovely. We hated to go, and can't wait to return!

I recently returned from a weekend stay in a 2 bedroom condominium at the Chetola Resort. The condo was beautiful and well equipped but for the price of our stay I was disappointed that there was no maid service and we were expected to take our trash out before we left. Which I expect many do not as there was a used diaper in the master bedroom trash can. I have stayed in other condos at resorts and there was always maid service and we certainly were not expected to clean up before we left. The grounds are beautiful and the town of Blowing Rock was fun to explore and shop in. We had a great dinner at the Storie Street Grille. I would certainly love to go back to Blowing Rock but I would look for different accommodations.

We stayed here for 6 days while attending Merlefest. The setting is breathtaking, and the hotel itself was very comfortable. Our room was clean and spacious. The staff were especially friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful vacation in the N Carolina countryside.

Our family of four stayed at a 2-bedroom condo. It was snowing when we arrived and the resort was a winter wonderland by sundown. Because of the weather, we had dinner at the onsite restaurant. The staff was gracious but considering the price, the food was rather mediocre. We stayed on the lower floor of the condo and we could hear the people upstairs. The ceiling above us creaked and squeaked as they moved around late at night and as early as 3 AM! If you stay here, ask for the upper floor.

The rest of the week warmed up and we enjoyed the tennis courts all by ourselves. Wish we had more time to enjoy the hiking trail. Our best find during our stay in Blowing Rock was a restaurant called "Knight's" downtown... doesn't look like much on the outside but the food and the prices were terrific.

Blowing Rock is a very nice quaint town in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Numerous area attractions. Stayed in the Chetola Resort in a condo. Condo was well maintained and very clean. The resort is very pretty and overlooks a lake. Cons: No outdoor pool; Condos are a far walk (5 min +) to main resort area and not walker friendly (i.e. no accessible and safe pedestrian paths).
