Such a warm and inviting feeling, from the minute you walk in the door. Great service and a smile at the front desk. Clean, comfortable rooms that are like a nice, quiet retreat to your bedroom and sitting area for reading, catching up with friends on the phone, or watching a little tele. Delicious food and great conversation from the well-timed and friendly staff. Cozy lounge with the wonderful sounds of piano classics being played by the delightfully up-beat gentleman out in the front lobby. Have a restful night sleep, safe and sound in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina!

As a child we drove by the Green Park each year to visit friends in the mountains. I always thought it would be so neat to stay there. Well the wait was worth it . Having just turned 60 and in the mountains for a weekend of adventure/tubing with my husband , we LOVED the Inn. The service, the food (at the dining room and bar), the atmosphere, the history ...everything was perfect!
We will be back!

The hotel advertises Queen and king beds. The bed in our room was a full and was NOT comfortable. My boyfriend and I got very little sleep the two nights we stayed. The first night I woke up every hour, the second night we slept better only because we had been skiing that day. We still did not sleep well.
We brought our dog and were recommended this hotel for a ski and stay package. I wish we had gone with the La Quinta, which was 30 less per night and I wouldn't have had to pay an extra 50 for my dog.

I would never recommend this hotel to stay in. The building is cool because it is old. Visit it, go to dinner there, DO NOT get a room there.

Thank you for telling us about your stay. We wish for nothing but the best night of sleep for all of our guests, and we are deeply apologetic that your experience was less than the best. I can assure you that our mattresses are all either king sized or queen sized as advertised. I'm sure there are hotels that are less expensive; however, they don't offer a full hot breakfast each morning of your stay with a wait staff to attend to your needs as you dine.

We do offer pet friendly accommodations. That being the case, it does take us additional time and effort to clean the room carefully before the next guest checks in. Additionally, we maintain our pet comfort station, so guests will have somewhere to walk their pets. We believe our pet fees are fair, and we let all guests know what the fees are prior to reserving.

I appreciate that you would recommend others to visit the hotel to see the history and eat in the dining room. We'd love to have you back the next time you are in the area.

Both the Chestnut Dining Room and The Divide Bar serve up excellent and interesting menu items. The Green Park Inn has become one of our mainstays for dining out when we are in Blowing Rock. The former chef from Crippen's Restaurant (now closed) has joined ranks at the Green Park and "quelle difference"! Warmer weather dining on the terrace is our favorite.

After coming to Blowing Rock for decades, my wife and I stayed at the Green Park Inn for our first visit for three nights that included New Years Eve. DId we enjoy it? Well, lets just say we'll be back again this coming weekend for the Valentine's package. We enjoy the restaurant and hope they will continue to include the buffet breakfast with a stay. We also enjoyed the Divide and the sitting area with fireplace. Although I don't think the owners now promote this aspect of the hotel, my wife has fun 'ghost hunting.' We highly recommend the hotel to those coming to the Blowing Rock area.

Thank you for reviewing. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay, and that you came back to see us again so soon! I hope your Valentine's visit was just as pleasant as when you came for New Year's Eve. As far as ghost hunting, our proprietors and staff respect the privacy of all of our guests, whether or not they've ever checked out. That being said, we've just signed on to do another Murder Mystery event in May 2014. Be sure to keep an eye out for the details on our website! We'd love to have you join in on the fun!

When visiting Blowing Rock we often eat at least once at the Green Park Inn. The quality of the food improved greatly with the new chef and the prices are reasonable and competitive. The staff has always been friendly and responsive.

Old world charm and quaint...employees very customer centric...3rd straight year staying there and it never disappoints...loved the renovated cafe and breakfast buffet was very nice. Fireside lounge is a wonderful gathering area and the divide's back room has a years gone by aura to it as you sit with friends.
