The Facility has such great offerings, Young, but friendly staff, and hands on management. The trends in Blowing Rock have changed but this could be an ideal family oriented destination.I was there for "Fire on the Rock" and the crew came through for their first time very well. We live in BR and it is a fine place with lots of options to be "the place" for families to call home in the wilds of Blowing Rock! Never stayed overnight but could recommend.

We stayed in Blowing Rock and had a wonderful time there and in Boone. The towns are beautiful and this hotel was a pleasant place to come "home" to after a day of walking caverns, mining, and driving winding mountain roads. They kids thoroughly enjoyed the fountain, water fall, and duck pond, spending a morning on a cold, and sunny, day feeding the ducks. We completely enjoyed the fireplace and whirlpool tub after a long day out in the cold mountain air. In fact, while on our trip, the kids kept calling the hotel "Home #2"... as in "Mom, when are we going back to 'Home #2'?" :) That's a comforting thought that my kids felt that comfortable there. I typically have an extremely difficult time sleeping in hotel beds; however, I had NO problems getting a decent sleep on their king bed. It was by far the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever been on and my husband agreed with that. They also have a good website and easy online booking, which is vital to me when planning a trip (I never bother with a place that won't have a good website and online booking). Noisy and extremely rude neighbor made it less than perfect (perhaps the shared door and wall could use a little more sound proofing?) but the front desk took care of that for us (and noisy neighbor not the fault of the hotel, obviously). We do want to return to Blowing Rock for a longer stay and we will be booking again here.

Room Tip: They do have suites w/separate rooms and connecting suites so if you have older kids or a multi unit...

My boyfriend's holiday party was held here, and we stayed in the Annex. Our stay was short, but I found the room spacious, clean and in a great location. Downtown was only 1 1/2 blocks away, and I thought the staff did a great job with the buffet dinner we had as part of the party. The food was really good for a hotel buffet spread! Especially the pasta dish! We made note of this being a place to stay in the future, if ever in the area or for a weekend getaway.

Room Tip: We were in room 504, second floor of annex, away from doors so quiet. My boyfriend reported the sui...

This was our first stay at the Meadowbrook Inn and it was a perfect location. We could walk either way out of the parking lot and be in the heart of town within just a few minutes. The walk to Bistro Roca restaurant for dinner was about 10 minutes. The room was comfortable, nice, clean and we had a good view of the mountains. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we loved the duck pond. We will definitely stay there again.

We happen to be in Blowing Rock area for a wedding so the hotel was one of the preselected places to stay. Beautiful setting, comfortable rooms and within walking distance of downtown Blowing Rock. We booked a suite which had a nice view of the mountains along with a gas fireplace. This area is full of quaint shops. Nice place to stay if you are in the mountains of NC.
The customer service was great and the staff friendly. Feed the Ducks!!!!!

Room Tip: All the rooms our friends had were very nice.

This place far exceeded our expectations. Pleasantly surprised by the free continental breakfast, (southwest eggs, biscuits, sausage, gravy, fruit, plus the basics you expect like cereal and bagels). We had great service and a terrific room overlooking the duck pond. Very clean, and a super comfortable king bed. They have DVD players in the ent. center for your videos. There is both a fridge and microwave if you need them. The indoor pool looked incredibly nice, although we did not take advantage of it this time. We were on the first floor of the main building, so it was convienient to the lobby and parking. The suite is amazing, and I would definitely stay here again. Can't beat the location either. I know other reviewers had different feelings, about hot water it seems, but we had zero problems with the hot water and it was a peak fall week and they were fully booked. My kids are already asking when we can go back, and I am hoping it is soon!

Room Tip: Ask for the main building with a view of the duck pond The suite on the first floor has all you cou...

The room was too dark with dark comforters on the beds. It had two small lamps and bulbs in the lamps not bright enough for reading. The three chairs were all alike and very uncomfortable, especially to read or watch TV. The shower water was either too hot or too cold and very hard to adjust. The walls are thin as I could hear snoring from next room and I am hard of hearing. I told the staff on check-in that my husband was ill and did not come, so there was to be only one charge for the buffet which was planned that evening. I was told it "would be taken care of". Of course, I was charged for two and had to request a credit. The plus for this hotel is the location for shopping on the main street.
