Stumbled onto this little gem by accident... newly renovated with a wonderful restaurant and bar. The room was amazing, relaxing and soothing decor and amazing bathroom. Towels and linens were luxurious. Loved being right in downtown within walking distance of shops and the park. This Inn has old world charm with all the modern immensities. Wonderful new addition to Blowing Rock.

We happended to be the first to stay at this lovely Inn! The rooms were large and so comfortable.
Everything was an upgrade to the usual Inn experience but still had the feel that you hope for when you go to the mountains. The beds were so comfortable and the towels and linens were top of the line. The location cound'nt have been more convienent to downtown Blowing Rock and I will be staying here anytime I get to come for a visit!

I would like to preface this by saying that I only rarely write reviews on websites. It must be an exceptionally good or bad experience to be worth my time to alert strangers. With that said, I feel the need to share the wonderful weekend I spent with my girlfriend at The New Public House.

First, the rooms were immaculate. I wasn't sure initially what to expect due to their recent opening (I knew I was taking a chance on booking there), but everything was quite clean and tidy. The decor was very nice though it could use some splashes of bold color. The quality of the room was greatly appreciated as we were both tired from a long drive and looking for a place that was more economical compared to other places in the area.

Perhaps the biggest surprise for us was the attached restaurant downstairs...their porch was ideal for listening to Music on the Lawn next door and sipping drinks. We were so comfortable and relaxed that we didn't even wander over. Instead, we had several delightful small plates of food. We finished our evening walking two blocks up to the main downtown drag and surveying the people and stores.

The next morning started with breakfast downstairs (I had yogurt with homemade granola and berries...perfect) and then strolled over to a coffee shop before hitting the trails. It was ideal and the weather could not have been better. That night we took it easy and tried the other half of the menu that we missed the night before.

With all of that, I don't know what the inn will be like when it is full. We count ourselves as lucky to have found this gem in the middle of the mountains and hope to return soon.

My boyfriend and I had the privilege of being one of the first guests at the New. The New Hotel is a much needed breath of fresh air in Blowing Rock. Beautifully restored and modernized, this boutique hotel provides the convenience of being only a block away from the Main Street, where all the action happens. Our room was stunning, very spacey and full of light, furnished with comfortable furniture in the very attractive weathered antique style. Our bed was super comfy, I wanted to bring it home. Each morning we started by having delicious breakfast downstairs. And each evening we had at least a cocktail, if not an appetizer or dinner at the New bar and restaurant, which has innovative and tasty menu and great drink specials. The service was friendly and attentive. We can't wait to go back!

Splendidly refurbished and great atmosphere. The food is all sharing plates and a first rate mix of true southern style cooking. The wine list is comprehensive and the service excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting this beautiful town. The owners even help you find a plumber when needed!
