“Excellent location, cleanliness and staff attitude”

We booked the "deluxe queen" via internet where the site showed "only 5 rooms left at this price". Check in went well and our room was clean. The room was not deluxe, but comfortable for our one night stay. The bed/mattress was pretty old and had little support but, once again, for one night was ok. The location is terrific because you can walk main street and come back to enjoy the wine and cheese reception (5-6 PM). There were a total of 6 people at the wine and cheese gathering, but the environment was pleasant and the price was right (free).
No problem with parking because, unlike the web site admonition, there were plenty of rooms available. In fact, only about 10 guests the night we stayed.
The continental breakfast was basic and very good (Comfort Inn type offerings with microwave and toaster oven for warming). We really appreciated Elena (?) for coming in early so we could eat and then check out in time for our tee time in Boone.
Not pretentious, ut a good basic spot in Blowing Rock.

We loved the Ridgeway Inn...convenient to downtown shopping and dining, decorative and inviting environments, friendly and accommodating staff. We plan to stay here on future trips to Blowing Rock. Our only challenge was finding a space for parking when arriving late in the evening, but we managed. Very happy with our experience at the Ridgeway Inn.

This was our second stay and it was just as clean and comfortable as the first. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room felt 'fresh' not like it had been used before and not reeking of air freshener either. For the price, it's a bargain.

We stayed overnight at the Ridgeway Inn on the way to South Carolina from Ohio. We had planned about 200 miles of our motorcyckle trip to be on the Blueridge Parkway. The Inn is very close to the Parkway in Blowing Rock. In the morning before we left, we ate breakfast at the Trout; a resturant across the street. They had a buffet that was good and we ate on the porch and met some new friends and fellow travelers. We also took some time and walked around town and experienced a number of the quaint shops. There was an art festival going on and a number of street exibits, All in all it was an enjoyable time. The inn was clean the persons at the desk were pleasant and helpful. The decor was nice and the room very comfortable. The beds were comfortable pillow top type beds. Next time I am through that way I would not hesttate to stay at the RIdgeway inn.

Booked on line not knowing for sure what we would find when we got there -- the ridgeway inn was perfect! Rooms were decorated nicely, beds were super comfy, location was perfect allowing us to walk to town for dinner & ice cream. will definetly return soon.

We just recently stayed at Ridgeway Inn (Lavender Cottage) and it was wonderful. Two bedrooms were perfect - one for kids - one for us. Bed downstairs was big enough for two kids to sleep on. Bathroom was big with a nice bathtub with a window. Fireplace was excellent on chilly morning. Full kitchen with large refrigerator. Location is the best. Very happy we found this place. So far the best stay we had in Blowing Rock. And I already made reservations for our next trip to stay in Lavender Cottage. Very recommended.

After reading reviews on this site, we determined that the sister hotel, The Village Inn, was probably the nicest of the three properties. We could not easily find it but found Ridgeway; it was closer to Main Street anyway. As advertised, there is a wine and cheese reception and a nice, though standard, breakfast.
The room was exceptional for this price range! The linens were first rate, both on the bed and in the bathroom. Archive brand toiletries were provided; they are luxurious!
We sat on the upper deck in the morning to drink coffee. The view and the mountain air made for a lovely experience.
I'm so glad that we did not stay in one of the chain motels for this part of the trip!

Room Tip: The prices online were more expensive than what we received as walk-ins.
