My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate my birthday. We had never been here before, but it was amazing! The views from the parking lot, dining room, and stone porch are all impressive. The Inn also had a mossy trail you could walk, and the grounds had plenty of little romantic nooks with metal chairs. When we arrived at the Colonial room, there were chocolate-covered strawberries and a small bottle of white wine waiting for us. The bathroom was well designed and came with Aveda bath products. The room also had 2 plush robes and 4 over-sized pillows. The electric fireplace kept us cozy at night, and the porch off of our room and screen windows allowed us to take advantage of the cool breezes during the day. Although the breakfast in the morning wasn't unique (choice of eggs, breakfast meat, toast and grits or pancakes / French toast and breakfast meat), it was substantial and well-seasoned. Every staff member we interacted with was professional, friendly and seemed happy to be there. The Inn also had complimentary beverages (pop, coffee, water) available 24/7 in a pantry area. Rooms don't have TVs, and cellphone service is a bit spotty, so come here expecting to blissfully disconnect from the high-paced world. Overall, highly recommended!!
