Called ahead as I noticed the Open Table reservation system was showing limited seating for two. We stopped in around 7:00, wait time was about 30 minutes, so we joined the bar crowd and enjoyed a few cocktails. The time passed quickly and after one drink's wait we were seated in their covered porch area of the restaurant. Windows partially open and the cool moutain air, along with some evening rain made for great atmosphere. Appetizers and Entree's were cooked as requested and we even enjoyed a free dessert.

Very good food and service, I would recommend.

My wife and I went on vacation to beech mountain and we had lunch at bistro roca based on the good reviews. We were not disappointed. We liked everything. The place filled up quickly and there was only one waiter who did a great job handling it. He was very good to us and made our experience pleasant. The atmosphere was very cozy. We felt like dinning in a five star fine dinning restaurant. I recommend this place definitely.

This restaurant is consistently good with an interesting and diverse menu. The service is well trained on their food and wine selections. I've been there more than 10 times over the past few years and have never been disappointed. Make reservations though- it can be quite crowded during the tourist season.

Be careful if you use your GPS to find this restaurant- there is a "Wonderland Lane" and "Wonderland Drive"- the GPS took us to "drive" which is on the other side of the downtown in Blowing Rock. Check their website for better directions to the restaurant or call them to get the correct location.
Once we found the restaurant, we thoroughly enjoyed the food- we had split the veggie pizza (they use a fire brick oven); calamari appetizer; and had the PBLT sandwich- which was our favorite. Prices are reasonable. I would recommend checking this place out if you are in the area!

Husband and I actually made reservations at this restaurant for 2 nights during our 3-night stay in Blowing Rock because we had dined here before and had delicious personal-sized pizza. Once again, we ordered the pizza, salad & had beer. The salads and the beer were good, but sadly, the pizza crust was not seasoned well and doughy. Service was attentive, but we cancelled our second reservation and went elsewhere.

Not sure if we will be back. Parking is awful on a Friday night. It took us 10 minutes to decide to park off-site.
