We visited this location on our recent trip to Boone, Nc. I found the store to have everything you could think of, from fishing hats to candy displayed in barrels just like from a bygone era, of course not just a penny anymore. The floors were old, wood and creeky which ads to the charm. You could brows there for hours or just relax on the back porch and listen to the local artists playing a guitar with the strains of mountain music. Made you just inhale the fresh air and reflect on life. Although the place was very busy, the foot traffic moved in an orderly fashion. There was plenty of parking, although the parking lot is to the rear of the building, careful not to miss the driveway. Even had a building dedicated to the garden, with supplies and gifts for any of your planting needs. There is even an Ice Cream Store out back of the annex building, just a .10 of a mile up the road. There is no fee to enter either store. Was an enjoyable time spent with our family which ranged from Adults to a 7yr. old. all of whom had fun picking out our treasures. Their are stairs to navigate, no elevator. Enjoyable spot to visit. We spent about 1hr. there.
