Our room still had the new car smell on it and the hotel has been open for 5 months. Walk in shower, very clean, nice view if you ask for it. Mini Fridge. I'd give it a 5 but there was no Microwave in the room so you had to go down and use the one in the lobby. When I asked about why this was the Deck person said this was the new "Social" design so you'd mingle with other Hotel guest. If I'd have wanted to mingle I'd go to a Bed & Breakfast. I don't mingle much. Other than that it was perfect. Nice staff. I will stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a front facing room. It has a better view.

We found this to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in in recent memory. Very clean and pleasant smelling from the lobby to the rooms including the bath area. Nicely priced with great amenities. A definite yes for us on our next trip to the area as well as a heads up to all our friends and family.

My son and I made a last minute decision to visit Appalachian State this weekend and stayed at this Marriott property. I had the pleasure of speaking with Brittney on the phone to make the reservation and then met her and Jordan as we checked in. What fabulous young women. Both are students at the school and were extremely helpful with everything from favorite local "dives" to insight on the university.
We did not take advantage of the hotel restaurant or the many admenities offered in the lobby area (Starbuck's, bistro, work stations, lounge areas, etc) but definitely took notice as we received a full tour. The room was perfect for our overnight needs and crisp and new as the property just recently opened. As stated before, the elevator is a bit slow, but opted for the stairs anyway.
If the need arises for future accommodations in Boone, we will not hesitate to return to this Courtyard by Marriott.

Had to visit Boone overnight and decided to book a Marriott property. This is a new property with a resturant, bar and lounge area that was very inviting. We got in late and was hungry so the dining area staff was so nice they said they would serve us although it was closing. The food was equal to any Marriott hotel and it is nice to see upgrades are being made to the Courtyards. They had a surprising nice selection of wine to go with our meal and a nice outdoor patio area to relax and enjoy the evening. Room was modern and very comfortable. Good value.

Stayed here two days and found this courtyard very clean and new. Great for non smokers as it is a smokefree establishment. Prices were a bit high for the area. Breakfast was not free as most hotels now offer. Bistro in the hotel was ok with a Starbucks.

Only problem we had was on the second day the maid did not clean our room or even give us a new bath mat. The hotel apologized and gave us a complimentary breakfast.,

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the back side of the hotel for less road noise.
