Convient campground to boone and grandfather area. We stayed at flintlock for a weekend in the mountains. Campground was full and sites are about 40x20 size so we felt like we were spending the weekend in a trailer park vs a mountain campground. Lots of permanent sites. Looked like just a few sites available for travelers. Stream was pretty and staff very friendly. We did not spend much time at the campground other than to sleep and eat. Road into the campground is paved but rather steep. Getting out is interesting with the heavy traffic on road that goes by the campground. Will probably check out other options should visit boone again.
