Sure, it cost a little bit more what it's worth every penny. If you're riding on the Great Smoky Mountains railroad it's within walking distance and you can park your car at the establishment and walk to the train station. Clean comfortable and king size beds. Definitely more bang for the buck.

Nice place to hang your hat for the night while you take in downtown Brewery and Restaurants. Inn keeper Luke is a nice guy who is their to please for sure. "So how are we treating you all so far" is what he will ask. Answer was fantastic. Great morning breakfast also. Cant imagine staying anywhere else when in BC. Luke was nice enough to mail my wife's i-phone charger after the cleaning lady found it the following day. Thanks Luke see ya sooner then later we hope.

I have driven through Bryson city before but must have missed the"downtown". The Calhoun is in the center of the restored downtown area and within walking distance of all the restaurants and bars.
Very friendly folks that couldn't be more accommodating. Priced right too.

This hotel is in the middle of Bryson City and is centrally located to 5 minute walks to fine restaurants, to the steam engine railroad, and a few miles from the Deep Creek area of the Smoky Mountain National Park. Bryson City is at the head of Fontana Lake and is a few miles from the Nantahala River known for kayaking and rafting.

The hotel has an historic background, is furnished with colorful mountain quilts, and best of all has wonderful meals. Hotel owners Luke, Leila and Sue make one feel part of the family with warm welcomes, historical information and travel information.

Our experience here was so surprisingly pleasant. We were just driving through and looking for a place to stay, and we decided on the Calhoun because of the owners' warm demeanor and the great location right in the heart of downtown. Our room was small, but cozy and very clean. But the icing on the cake turned out to be the giant, delicious spread of southern breakfast the following morning. Overall, this place exudes southern hospitality and should not be missed.
