I agree with other people that it is dated. But we found it clean, and we enjoyed our stay with these friendly people. I left my jewerly there, and called to get them to get it for me, and, they held it for me until I could go back to get it. Would definitely stay here again.

This place is very nice to stay at. The room was very clean, and quiet. The young couple that own and operate the motel are very nice and helpful. If they, that owns the place had not mentioned the fact that the airport was a three and a half hour drive from there, I probably would have missed my flight, as I thought the airport was a couple of hours away. When I'm in that area again, that's where I'm going to stay. And the price was Very Good.

My mother and I stayed her on our annual Mother/Daughter weekend and loved it. The room was clean and the staff friendly. We loved the location - up on a hill overlooking Bryson City. Our only negative is that the property is dated. It wasn't a problem though - everything works and works well. We will definitely stay there again.

The people where nice... I’ll give you that but NO. Called this place and booked a room 2 weeks in advance and they said they only had 1 room left. They lied. On arrival we new I had made a big mistake, my husband and I were going to do the train ride on Saturday morning. The lady at the front was very sweet and so was the man and when I turned in the key. However the rooms are very old and outdated the carpet was dirty, we have no hot water to take a shower in the morning and the walls are paper thin you could hear through them. Lesson learned.

We booked this through booking.com because it was the only one left close to Cherokee. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the room was. We stayed in room 128. It is an older motel and the rooms are very small. Not many outlets, though! We would definitely stay there again. The price for our two nights was less than one night at one of the chain hotels up the road.
