“Great for extended stay”
Reviewed 24 June 2018 for a stay in June 2018

Clean, comfortable and roomy cabin that is close to area attractions, but nestled into the mountains so you feel like you're in your own slice of paradise. Amenities include a full kitchen with enough utensils to do all your cooking - perfect for a longer stay in the mountains.

Don't forget to search for four-leaf clover (we found several!) and enjoy the nightly firefly show!

Thanks for the great review and the suggestions on the four-leaf clover hunting. We knew we built a great cabin but wasn't aware of the lucky yard.

A wonderful little cabin it was perfect for our friends getaway. Some of this info and pics are older as they have a king size bed in one of the bedrooms. I loved the layout of the cabin. It has a large front porch that faces the running steam just a few yards away. It sounds so peaceful. Also on the porch is a large hot tub, plenty of chairs to sit and drink coffee and listen to the stream. The yard has beautiful landscaping and a grill, picnic table and firepit which we also enjoyed. The road and driveway are paved which makes it easier to get in and out. The only negative I could mention is the driveway is in a very sharp curve in the road. It made getting out tricky. We would suggest maybe a mirror so it would be easier to see to the left when exiting the property. There are 3 cabins down this road but it still fills secluded. Just had a wonderful stay and can't wait to go back.

Thanks for the great review. As you mentioned, all 3 cabins are very secluded with large evergreens between them for privacy. We had thought about a mirror where our driveway meets the road, but we'd have to put it across the road on another person's property. Unfortunately we asked them for permission and they declined.

“Perfect Getaway”
Reviewed 10 December 2017 for a stay in December 2017

This Cabin was great for a quick weeken to Bryson City for the Polar Express! The cabin was clean, inviting, warm and cozy. We enjoyed seeing the beautiful snow and listening to the stream. It was a very quick ride to town and the directions were perfect! This cabin will not disappoint and we will be back during the summer to play in the stream and tube the river. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

“PURE SERENITY”
Reviewed 13 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

If you are looking for a place to unwind, enjoy the quiet - THIS IS IT. A beautiful stream that you can enjoy is perfectly distanced from the house to where you can hear and see the water flowing, a fire pit for a nice evening by the fire, a hot tub for you to enjoy while admiring the view. The cabin is warm, clean and cozy. The town is only a few minutes down the road so you dont have to travel along way. I highly recommend this place. I cant wait until I can come back. We couldn't have asked for more.

“Perfect Family Getaway”
Reviewed 20 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Fox Creek Meadowside had all we could ask for and more. The cabin is great, very comfortable and clean. The hot tub is amazing and the location ideal, nestled in the woods with a creek running through it, the kids were outside playing the whole time. The management company was very helpful and a pleasure to communicate with. Bryson City has that small town feel, folks are so friendly, lots of great stores to wander in and out of and really surprised by all the good eats. The kids loved tubing on Deep Creek and we are already planning our trip back for next summer.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Fox Creek Meadowside. The location and certainly makes it convenient to visit the top attractions in the Great Smoky Mountains from Cherokee and Bryson City to Nantahala and Fontana.

“Nice place but had some issues”
Reviewed 10 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

The cabin was inviting and cozy but it wasn't as clean as I would have liked (rooster poop on the porch, something black splashed on the front door). There was a rooster that stayed with us (not ours) and also a stray cat that camped out on the porch for the whole time we were there. They weren't a problem, just kept trying to get into the house. The hot tub was the best! A six person tub that worked great. Would have liked a little more seclusion, the 3 cabins are fairly close. Maybe a tall hedge row would help. All in all we had a great time!

We're glad you enjoyed the cabin and I'm sure you would agree that it was spotless inside. Your only issues seem to be the rooster and the cat outside. The rooster was a stray that we relocated to a friend's chicken coop, so he is no longer there. He did have a poop problem that caused a cleaning issue on the deck and sometimes on the cabin wall and outside furniture. The cleaners are also glad he is gone. Most people like the stray cat. He's very friendly. Your suggestion for a hedge was suggested years ago. I hope you noticed the row of Leland Pines to the right between Meadowside and Waterside. They are now a 20 foot tall hedge and a great visual block on that side. On the left there are a number of trees, shrubs and pines in the 150' distance between Meadowside and Hillside. We have made an effort to be sure that when you are sitting on the deck of any of the 3 cabins, you don't see another cabin.
