We have stayed in many cabins throughout NC, TN, and N GA, and I have to say this has been the best. We wanted to stay near Bryson City to ride the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad and were impressed with the great reviews we saw about these cabins. It's hard to believe we could be pleasantly surprised after all those rave reviews, but the feeling of walking into the Squirrel's Nest just can't be captured in a review or even a picture. I was impressed with Robin (the owner) from my first inquiry call and throughout our stay. The cabin had everything we needed, even paper goods, and eveything was so clean and in great working order. The cabin looks brand new, and its hard to believe it's not. The only thing I missed was reliable high speed internet, but that's no fault of the owners. It's a remote area, and Robin informed us its coming soon.
Ours was a very romantic small cabin by a beautiful creek, and there are much larger cabins for families and larger groups.
We will definitely be back, even if we have to go out of our way. Its so worth it.

We stayed in July for a family vacation and could not have been more pleased! We booked our cabin for our return trip in December. Wonderful owners who were so accommodating! We stayed in the Deer Run cabin and our kids met the kids in the neighboring cabins. We ended up spending the next several evenings watching our kids play in the creek and cooking out together. My son hated leaving!

I brought my family up from Florida for the week of Labor Day. We had a blast, this is a great place. We stayed near the top of the mountain, Eagles Nest. It was roomy, had great view, and very clean. The owner Robin is very easygoing, and helpful. Down on the bottom of the hill, near the office, there is a large field with a bonfire area and chairs ready to go! Firewood is provided. We brought some music (and beverages) while the kids roasted marshmallows and chased fireflies. Very cool, so many stars, it seemed like they all were touching. . Bryson City has a surprisingly good railroad station. We took the Nanthala River trip, every second was beautiful. Nanthala was having a kayaking event so we stopped for beers and barb-q..Another great day, we drove back there a few days later. On the last day, we rented a pontoon at the Fontana Lakes..Another epic day, the water was fresh and clean..It was an epic trip, we will go back again maybe next year..Lands Creek Cabins is a great place for the family...

Room Tip: If your kids are a little older, get the Hawks View, the views are amazing

We were looking for a private getaway that turned into a family gathering. We had plenty of room, and it was a beautiful setting. It was great to watch our kids catching fireflies and enjoying the creek side. We would definitely go back!

From the moment I called to inquire about LCLC to the moment we packed up and left, our experience was nothing short of wonderful! Robin and Sue are very accommodating and helpful -helping us select the cabin that was the best fit for our family, suggestions on where to go and what to do, etc. The cabin Robin suggested was perfect for us! Kids loved the sleeping loft - hubby and I loved the screen porch! We had such a wonderful time in the Great Smokey Mountain area and LCLC that we decided to extend our stay by and extra day....and have already decided that we are returning next summer! That's saying a lot considering that we live in New England and it's a solid 2 days of driving to get there - but it is absolutely worth it! Our 10 and 6 year olds can't wait to go back! Check out Fontana Guides for a great fishing experience (there's a link on the LCLC website)!

Our family had a fantastic time at this home away from home. We couldn't ask for anything more, except maybe a stronger cell signal. However, you don't come to a beautiful cabin to get away from your everyday life to WORK, right? Loved the fire pit, even though it was 76 deg outside, we still made one and had hot dogs and smores! The beds were awesome in the Wolf Den and our family of 5 (3 daughters, 16-14-10) had plenty of room. After days of rafting the Chattooga and the Nantahala and Zipling, we loved the peaceful and relaxing cabin and creek. Kids were in the creek everyday and had a blast building things and going down their "slide."

I will plan my mountain vacations around this place forever. Private. The cabin had everything we needed. They were very help with directions. Love this beautiful place. You get your own fire pit and grill the creek rans right by the cabins.
