Great motel to visit. The owners are always welcoming and can recommend great rides near and far. The rooms near river are quite and cozy. We have stayed here a few times and it is always a great pleasure. Will visit again.

I've been to the Two Rivers Lodge twice before with my motorcycle clubs and am looking forward to going again in a few months. This is NOT a 5-star resort, so if that's what you want/expect find a more expensive hotel. It is, however, one of the friendliest and most relaxing places that I've stayed.

The rooms are not super fancy, but they are clean and comfortable. The owners live on the property and will bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable. A riverside pavilion with a fire pit, a swimming pool and porches outside of each room make the stay even better.

I would recommend this to anyone coming thru this area.

The beautiful setting surrounding the Two Rivers Lodge, where the Oconaluftee and Tuskaseegee Rivers join, coupled with clean, comfortable, homey accommodations and genuine "At Home" hospitality provided by the lovely couple, Kathy and Blaine Shobe, is best described "like a pearl." If this memorable experience and remarkable location were an oyster than the Shobe's Two Rivers Lodge is the oyster's pearl!
Looking forward once again, year after year, for September's arrival to revisit this experience!

Thank you Kathy and Blaine!

The Two Rivers Lodge is a hidden gem located between Bryson City and Cherokee, North Carolina on the banks of the Oconaluftee and Tuckasegee rivers. The owners purchased the lodge about seven years ago and have been pouring the hearts and lives into restoring this historic hotel. It is ideal for those rafting the Nantahala river, motorcyclists, and families with pets. The hotel was built its original owner about 70 years ago, and they have been able to modernize while preserving the original character and charm.
The rooms include a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster oven. The flat screen TV had more than 50 digital channels. They do not include several amenities, such as shampoo, blow dryers, and telephones. So if these things are essential for you, enjoy the chain hotels up the road while I enjoy the view, the people, and the wildlife here at Two Rivers.
Some of the highlights of our stay include enjoying the conversations and campfire at the riverfront pavilion, chatting with neighbors while enjoying my morning coffee and singing birds, and enjoying the delicious mountain water flowing from their taps.
There are several great, but inexpensive restaurants nearby as well as whitewater rafting, Cherokee, the Smokey Mountains National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad. Gatlinburg and Asheville/Biltmore House are both a little over an hour away.

Room Tip: The riverfront rooms are extra, but they do have a great view of the river. The pool front rooms ar...

I would highly recommend this place. Great location, great price, and great owners. It's a little dated but that's the beauty of it. The owner gave us an ems discount for my husband being a medic and even had a crib for our little one. Will return here

6 motorcycles 10 people family and friends went down on July 4-6, 2014. We had a blast. Unbeatable service. We felt like family here. Just a great place to lay your head down. They have improved there camp fire area with a metal shelter right by the river with picnic tables and seings. Well be coming back here as often as possible.

The Freedom Riders Motorcycle Association of Northern Ontario decided to visit the awesome motorcycle roads in the Smoky Mountains for our annual trip. Tapped to be the guide because I was familiar with the area, I picked Two Rivers Lodge as our base for the four nights we would be in the area. I could not have made a better choice. The hospitality that Blaine and Kathy showed us was second to none. The rooms, while rustic, had all the amenities we could ask for and the pavilion/fire pit made an excellent place to wind down after each day of riding. The pool was also a popular spot when the riding was done. Blaine was more of a brother than just a host and led some of our members on one of the longer planned rides. He also did some bike repairs for a couple of our people. On the last night, he and Kathy fed us all for a nominal fee. The excellent supper was topped of with three kinds of cobbler that cooked as we enjoyed the main course.

Anyone planning on riding motorcycles in the area would be hard pressed to find a friendlier more motorcycle oriented place to stay. The best part for my wife and I is that we will be back down the first week in August for a Vulcan Riders and Owners Club Rally and have the same room reserved. We can't hardly wait.
