“Cozy cabin with everything you need”
Reviewed 18 February 2018 for a stay in November 2017

Bryson City was centrally located to all the places we wanted to visit like Cherokee, Waynesville, and Maggie Valley. Our initial reason for the trip was to ride the Smokey Mountain Railroad, which is in BC. Coming up from Florida, I wanted a view more than anything. This cabin definitely has that and then some. That said, be prepared for the drive up the mountain. The first time up and down was quite nerve wracking, but it got easier as the days went by. The cabin had everything you could possibly need, including firewood for the fireplace/firepit. There is an Ingles grocery store at the base of the trek up to the cabin. The hot tub was great, used it every night. Maintenance came right out when we had an issue the first day. We even had a visit from a very friendly dog one night while hanging out in the hot tub. As a dog person, that was really cool considering the location of the cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would stay here again.

“Wonderful Christmas cabin ”
Reviewed 2 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

My family of six stayed here for Christmas. We came to Bryson City for the polar express. We enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace. We sat in the hot tub and enjoyed the views of the mountains. The drive up is a little difficult but the view is worth it. The stars are beautiful at night.

“A name that fits!”
Reviewed 16 November 2016 for a stay in February 2016

I booked this cabin for Valentine's weekend for my wife and I and I can say it was so cozy and quaint. It was a real gem of a getaway. The views were comforting and the size was perfect to bring us close together. The property came with firewood and firestarters for us to use, and it was lit everynight. We really didn't watch TV at all but we did use the hot tub every chance we got. You don't need a 4wd for the steep driveway, at least not in February. The size of the kitchen and all appliances were perfectly functional if you know how to use them. It was clean and sure the floors may creak, but it's a wooden cabin, it's supposed to! It was exactly what we were looking for and we are going to book it again for 2017!

This is a tiny cabin and it looks like a tiny cabin in the photos. It is never our intent to mislead. The living area is pictured from different angles and shows just the loveseat. When guest report fridge issue, she said she didn't want maintenance to come check it out. We checked it out after departure and found solid ice and cool fridge. It is important to remember in vacation rentals that since you arrive to an empty refrigerator, there is absolutely no stored coolness inside as there is in your home fridge loaded with groceries. When you load an empty fridge with new groceries, many or which are room temp, it is important to leave airspace around all items and leave the door closed as much as possible. Refrigerators are best at keeping things cold but not designed to make things cold. Thank you for the feedback and the opportunity to educate future guests. In an effort to avoid any guests feeling misled, we always welcome information that will help people have accurate expectations about our units.
