Owner description: Have you ever looked a tiger in the eye? Felt the whole-body impact of lions roaring? Watched wolves romp through the woods? These and other once-in-a-lifetime experiences are possible at the Conservators' Center, a wildlife conservancy for more than 80 animals with a focus on education, conservation, and rescue. An "oofing" at the Conservators' Center is an experience you'll have to feel to believe. It's the earth-shaking sound our lion prides make when they roar to one another. Our guides call to them on every tour, and you may have the opportunity to hear them from as close as 5 feet away! You'll also get up close and personal with tigers, leopards, wolves, lemurs, binturongs, and other exotic species. We receive no state or federal funding to transport or house our animals. Tours, adoptions, memberships, and other donations support our work, so every visit from you helps us help them.

“Knowledgeable staff, Awesome animals”

Truly enjoyed myself taking tours through the facility. Staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and really seem to care about the animals. The number and variety of animals simply amazed me, and it was awesome to get so close to such beautiful creatures.

From beginning to end, an easy process to set up the tour, and a true pleasure to take it.

100% worth the money, would recommend to anyone. Definitely an organization worth supporting.

“Would recommend every time!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2014

We had the best tour this past weekend. The staff is so knowledgeable and personable and truly appreciate them sharing their knowledge with us. We packed a picnic lunch to enjoy before the tour at one of their picnic tables. What a wonderful day! Would highly recommend to all!

Thank you for sharing your experience! We have found that many visitors love to pack a picnic lunch and eat before or after their tour to the symphony of roaring lions and tigers, howling wolves and New Guinea singing dogs and dingoes, and yowls from our jungle cats! It is surely an experience you will never forget and we hope that you will join us again soon!

“Talking Lions - Oh My!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

We enjoyed a visit to the Conservator's Center north of Burlington on the Memorial Day weekend. Our guide, John David, was knowledgeable & entertaining. We had an almost 1.5 hour walk around the center and were introduced to many of the animals: servals, lions, tigers, dingoes, wolves, etc. I really enjoyed the rescue story about many of the animals that were shared. Our guide was able to get the lions to "talk" and say hello to us. Hearing 10+ lions all roaring at once was quite an experience. The entire family thought the tour was great & would be happy to go back again!

Some tips you might want to keep in mind: use their directions from the website, not their address and your GPS, make reservations ahead of time, you can't just show up, bring sunscreen and water if the weather is warm. Have fun, we did!

Thank you for sharing your experiences! Many of the staff and volunteers at the Conservators' Center spend a great deal of time perfecting their "oofing" (that sound we do to make the lions roar) skills and developing relationships with these amazing animals. Roaring with lions who know your specific style of "oofing" you never gets old! You can join in on the fun by electing to become one of our Lifetime Adopters! Check out this program using the link below: http://www.conservatorscenter.org/product-category/adopt/

We hope you will decide to visit us again soon!

“Great animals adventure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

My family and I are huge fans of the Conservators' Center!! You can get up close and personal with some gorgeous exotic animals! I've never been anywhere like it. We are Lifetime Adopters now and think it's the best organization out there doing this kind of work! The staff is so friendly and everyone is very knowledgeable about all of the animals. You can tell this is a great place to be! If you love animals you need to go at least once!

“Great Outing for Family”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Great family outing. Staff/volunteers were very knowledgeable and made sure everyone was included in the discussions. Group sizes were manageable and not large. Nice grounds, animals appear to be well cared for. There is walking involved but not strenuous.
