Terrell House B and B
Ranked #3 of 6 Burnsville B&B and Inns
Reviewed 11 August 2013

Staying with Mike and Laura is like being welcomed into a gracious southern home. The Bed & Breakfast has been furnished with charm and comfort without compromising the period feel of the historic building. Laura's breakfast is fabulous. We stayed at the Terrell House in August. The covered back patio was comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the hummingbirds and butterflies in the back yard. The giant maple trees gave the grounds a real southern feel as well. The innkeepers are knowledgeable about the area and were more than accommodating when we asked for restaurant recommendations, ice cubes and WiFi access. It's a real gem in Burnsville. Don't miss staying there.

Room Tip: We like twin beds sow e chose Ann's Room (only one in the Inn). Photos and descriptions are ac...

We visited about June 6 when the weather was cool and nice in Burnsville. Nice stting in the outdoor area where one could have a glass of wine and watch the birds in back yard. Only there for one night but very relaxed and very good breakfast in morning. Would plan to revisit if opportunity comes up again.

We drove up to this B&B on a leisurely trip through the mountains. We were taken on a tour by the host, Mike. We immediately went home and planned a trip that included a stay at this bed and breakfast. It was just as wonderful (actually more so) as we thought it would be. Mike and Laura are gracious hosts. The bed and breakfast itself is well-kept, with lovely amenities. Breakfast was the icing on the cake. We will be back!

We often travel without plans and hope for the best, finding some gems here and there more often than not. We were referred to Terrell House by a more well known inn that had no vacancy. Mike and Laura Hoskins were leaving for a short trip of their own the next day, but opened their B&B to us for the evening and accommodated our dietary requests for breakfast which was delicious.
We enjoyed talking about mutual interests and appreciated Mike's dining recommendations.
Comfortable rooms and lots and lots of books and information on the area.
Close to many attractions - Mt. Mitchell, golf, hikes, blue ridge parkway, quilt trails etc etc.

Terrell House is a lovely B&B in a beautiful little mountain town. It is located within walking distance to town but in a very quiet area. The inn is nicely decorated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Mike and Laura are very friendly and helpful hosts. We really enjoyed staying at Terrell House and hope to return.

Thanks, Mike and Laura for another wonderful time staying with you!! You are the "bestest" hosts and we love being with you. We had the opportunity to stay in two different rooms this year and that was a delightful experience. Hopefully, we'll have the opportunity to stay in each room!! And, once again, Laura served the most delicious breakfasts that we've ever eaten!
