Fresh salad bar, tasty seafood dishes thoroughly enjoyed. Seafood was moist, fresh, and prepared well. Great meal.

We were going to Buxton to climb the Cape Hatteras Light and were looking for place to eat somewhere between Kitty Hawk and Buxton. We searched TripAdvisor and narrowed it down to two places. Can't say what the other place would have been like but we were very pleased with our choice. Their staff is very friendly and attentive. Based on our server's recommendation we started with the tomato basil crab bisque and clam chowder -both drew rave reviews. We got a variety of entrees and everyone enjoyed what they got. The Grouper basket got the most thumbs up, the shrimp basket was great, and the crab cake sandwich and fried oysters were very good. Oh and the sweet tea was excellent!

Ten of us ate breakfast at Diamond Shoals. I believe we all ordered something different and there was a short wait for our food. I had the seafood omelet, which was delicious (if you like a combination of shrimp, crabmeat, cheese, and eggs). The seafood omelet isn't for everyone. There were plenty of shrimp in my omelet. The biscuits were delicious. I doubt the biscuits were "homemade," never the less, they were delicious and they were not gummy. Grits were very good and not soupy like I expected. Coffee was very very good. Gravy was also good. Unfortunately, we did not find anything to complain about. Even our waitress did a great job. We plan to return again in a few months and we are looking forward to returning to Diamond Shoals for another great meal.

We were suggested to have breakfast her by our hotel. It was great! The coffee had a great taste. I ordered French Toast and my son ordered pancakes. Both were delicious! They were really busy and it looked like they only had a couple of servers. But you would have never known by the service. It was great
