Ate here for dinner and the food was incredible! I ordered a brisket with sweet potato hash. The brisket was cooked to perfection, the sauce/gravy we very tasty and a nice balance with the sweet taste of the sweet potato hash.

My wife ordered the scallops and they were also delicious. Cooked just right. All of the food had a very local/fresh taste. When we ordered the apple shortcake dessert, I remember the waitress telling us about the local apples they were using in the dish.

Overall all, a great place for dinner, excellent service and great food.

Can I give this 10 stars? The food is FANTASTIC! From appetizers (burnt ends and baked apple) through dinner (nc catfish and shrimp & grits) and dessert (peanut butter chocolate pie, spiced pumpkin bread pudding and hot chocolates: peanut butter and gingerbread, respectively) we were extremely pleased. Great taste, good service and reasonably priced. A pitcher of the House Punch was not only great tasting but a great deal.

We visited for Sunday brunch based on the tripadvisor reviews. The restaurant was nearly full when we arrived. The menu is inventive but homey. You can get a potato skillet dish with a sunny-side-up egg or a salad with two different kinds of grilled mushrooms with goat cheese, balsamic viniagrette, and a sunny-side egg, or a fish taco with a super mango-radish side salad. Service was very friendly. We got the impression that people who spend a fair amount of their summer time here consider this a favorite spot. Oh, yeah. We can't forget the pumpkin bread pudding. Not too sweet, a portion for two, made with day-old crusty bread, homemade whipped cream and pumpkiny custard. It was really yummy. We could also java supplemented brunch with about five different alcoholic choices. If you are visiting Carolina Beach this is the place to hit.

This place has a more avant guard menu then your traditional fish house. While I liked the food my wife was far from bowled over. The trout was good but the oysters were OK. My wife really did not care for the salad with egg over easy on it, but the staff was quick to change this to a more traditional salad.
This is a good place just don't go in expecting calabash seafood.

We bought a 2nd home in Carolina Beach and started the search for good restaurants. We love this place and have dinner and/or brunch here every time we go. It's the best restaurant in Carolina Beach and we have tried them all. Interesting, fresh entrees which appeal to foodies without being too weird. The staff is young, energetic and make you feel like a regular. We have taken friends and family and they all loved it too.
