Like Tony the Tiger said...Gr...Gr.. Great!!! What a lovely place. Beds are outstanding and so comfortable. Rooms are darling. Food is out of this world! the innkeeper, Pat, should write a cookbook, she is amazing with food preparation. She is also knowledgeable about the area and very helpful finding everything you are in the area to search for. For no other reason, go and enjoy the beautiful Victorian home, the touches of class, the absolutely lovely settings she does each morning. When you are ready to leave you want to give her a hug as she has become your friend and you are sad to leave!

My husband and I spent the first night of our honeymoon at the Old Buggy Inn several years ago, and we enjoyed it. We recently returned for our anniversary and fell in love with the place once again. Pat, the proprietress, was not the owner when we were there the first time, yet she has improved on an already wonderful place. The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming and our bedroom was comfortable and cozy (The Milner's Room). The food was outstanding! She prepared evening hors deuvres...a delicious bruschetta dip. Then breakfast was so good. Fresh fruit with homemade Greek yogurt, freshly squeezed juice, baked frittata, bacon that was out of this world. Pat is a gourmet cook! she also had menus of local restaurants and we chose two which were great. The cost at the B&B was reasonable. We surely got our money's worth. We have plans to return around Christmas.

I recently spent two lovely nights at The Old Buggy Inn and was was like stepping back into the Victorian era. The owner, Pat, is a delightful hostess and a great cook. The breakfast menus were wonderful and the silver and china service was made it even more special. I was attending my granddaughter's high school graduation and having the inn to relax in between events and parties was a blessing. I stayed in the Garden Room and felt like a queen on the wonderfully comfortable bed with its elegant linens. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and highly recommend it. I have traveled to many places in the world and the Old Buggy is now in my top ten accommodations list!

My husband and I stayed at the Old Buggy Inn on the way to Rockingham from Raleigh and really enjoyed PAt's hospitality. We were greeted by a friendly dog named Ricky and were shown our enourmous room. We stayed in the English Garden room and it was huge- I actually feel like it's an understatement to just say it was a big room. It was very comfy with a great chaise that makes for good reading.

The house (beautiful) was also very quiet, which is surprising for it's age. Other old houses we've stayed in had creaky hardwood floors and thin walls. The weekend we were at the Old Buggy Inn, the inn was full, but we never would have known it, it was so quiet. After dinner at a great place Pat recommended (Pik-n Pig), we came back to our own PLATE of chocolate chip cookies and a glass of wine. What a wonderfeul way to end the day before climbing into the super-comfortable bed,

We slept great and woke up to a very tasty breakfast, which included some delicious homemade yogurt. Breakfast was very filling- we ended up not even eating lunch because we were so satisfied with breakfast!

We'll definitely be back again if we're ever in that area.

Our stay at the Old Buggy Inn in Carthage, NC was beyond our expectations. Pat, the host, was as warm and welcoming as her offerings in cuisine were palate-pleasing. I found my room to be light and airy and a step back in time but with all the comforts of today's luxury hotels including beds and bedding. Parlors adjacent to the dining room on the first floor and hallways thoughout are filled with interesting collections, memorabilia and furnishings. The host loves to share her stories of owning the Old Buggy and its contents. Many of her guests are returns as are her popular luncheons and weddings. The Old Buggy Inn and its host, Pat, are a delight to all that have visited.

This was our last stop on a one-week trip to the South and back and we were a bit travel weary but our Hostess Pat was so pleasant it was worth going a bit out of our way to visit The Old Buggy Inn. The house is restored beautifully and every room is a colorful pastel confection. The beds were so comfortable, equal to our recent stay at the Ritz Carlton and the sheets were just as soft. The monogrammed towels were a touch of class. Everything was spotless and clean.

Since we were traveling with our young son, we stayed in the room that has two beds. We had a fireplace right in our room and a claw foot tub in the bathroom. Pat made us feel welcome right away giving us a tour of the house and asking us our preferences for breakfast. Then she brought out a delicious snack and some wine and discussed our restaurant options, giving excellent advice on a restaurant in nearby Southern Pines. When we returned from dinner, Pat had baked us chocolate chip cookies! We had a restful, quiet night's sleep.

The next morning, Pat had yummy coffee ready and we were served a very delicious breakfast of fresh fruit and a baked French Toast dish. The juice was fresh squeezed. Pat gave us a history lesson on the house and previous owner, Mr. Jones, which was very interesting.

This is a first class Bed and Breakfast and we can't wait to return and visit with Pat again. The nearby town of Southern Pines looks like a nice play to spend a day or two as well.
