Clean, up-to-date rooms, excellent staff. Location within walking distance of many stores and eateries. Within a 5-10 minute ride to the PNC Center. Only problem was the miserable bartender giving my friend and I attitude.
Hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The lobby and rooms were very clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet was good and they had friendly wait staff. The bar was decent. Would absolutely stay here again next time I'm in Raleigh.
Regardless to the situation outside the walls of this hotel, the staff will do everything in their power and then some to take those cares and chills away. Not only is this hotel always in tip top shape, the staff is always on their toes to satisfy their guests. This may not be the most expensive hotel, but it sure feels like you are royalty when you stay.
We were staying at a sister hotel when we wanted to extend our stay during the NCAA Basketball Tournament and the sister hotel didn't have room for us to extend our stay. The DoubleTree accommodated us with an early check-in so that we could move over seamlessly. Excellent service, we will stay here again.
I stayed there for business. Hotel is very modern and stylish without being industrial. Comfortable bed and the best is that it had a stand up only shower with a glass door. The hotel differentiator for me is always the standup shower.
I had the breakfast buffet one day. It was excellent, not to crowded and reasonably priced.
I will be back again.
I hosted my birthday party and Charity Gala at this hotel. Staff was super supportive and accommodating. Everything was awesome from the service to the food...and of course the warm cookies! I love this hotel!
