This building has been the home of many restaurants over the years but I think Dean's is there to stay. They produce a new menu every week. Lots of opportunity to try new things. We were a party of nine and were sat at a nice long bench with chairs on the opposite side. The bench back was high and we think this might have helped with the fact that we could hold one conversation and everyone could hear. That was great.
The waiter was great. He had no hesitation making recommendations that all turned out great. He also told us why he made those recommendations - he knew a lot about where the food came from and, of course, how it was prepared. My Seafood Newburg was delicious. Others loved their risotto, crab legs, oysters. If you order the creme brûlée (which was perfect) be aware that it could serve at least 6 people. I've never seen such a large ramekin in my life.
The children's menu was great. For six bucks they each got good entrees (crab legs and grilled salmon respectively) plus drink and dessert (includes sundaes and Rice Crispie Treats).
Afterwards, we were trying to take a group photo outside when the hostess came out and took several for us. Very nice.
