While out on a motorcycle ride through some of the most stunning areas of the country, we stumbled upon this lovely little establishment. Beautifully decorated, well staffed and brilliantly done. We didn't have any food but we all swore we'd go back. It was that special!

We recently stopped by the Cork and Barrel for dinner on Saturday night. With most of the restaurants in their "winter hours" we were excited to find a place still open. Though when we walked in and the place was not very crowded, we were still very pleased. The wine was not expensive and very good. We ordered the trout dip, the lamb shank, and the duck. All excellent. And the fact that our entrees came with a salad or soup was an extra touch we enjoyed very much. Our server was attentive without being overly so and whenever we seemed to need him, he was there. The decor is dark and rustic with lots of real wood and I enjoyed the ambiance quite a bit. Overall a very good find!

My husband and I recently had dinner here. There are actually two separate parts to this place, the bar side which serves tapas and the restaurant which serves full dinners. We ate in the restaurant. It is a small, intimate room furnished with dark woods and lit by candlelight. Jazz was the background music. Our wine, salads, and main course were excellent.

This restaurant is small and unassuming, not easily seen. We probably would not have noticed it had it not been next door to our hotel. My advice is to seek it out. It will be worth your while.

We had dinner here with my sister and husband who live in Cashiers during a short visit recently. They seem to be "regulars" here -- and we can see why. It has a casual but very nice atmosphere, and excellent food and drinks. Even with kids, though it is not specifically a "family style" restaurant, they were very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed it very much and will definitely go again next time we visit the area.

Relaxing atmosphere with leather furniture seating makes it feel almost like home. Wonderful bar food and nice portions. A fun crowd seems to hang out in this place. Everyone was quite friendly. A great place for a drink and light dinner. Every now and then they will have entertainment in the evening.
