There is more to do than visit UNC when you are in Chapel Hill. The botanical gardens are well worth a two-hour walk around them. The shop also has some items to buy for gifts or home.

So wonderful. Can't believe we found this garden. It was so much fun and very interesting. The different gardens within are just amazing and the sculptures were great.

We have stopped several times to enjoy the garden, but have always been frustrated by the difficulties we encountered trying to navigate the paths and walkways in a wheelchair or walker. I suppose encouraging guests is a secondary purpose of the garden, but still it could be more accessible

Went with a group of seniors on a Tuesday morning. Had a tour led by a volunteer (Fran) and she was awesome; very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Everyone was very helpful. Will definitely go back again in different seasons to see other plants in bloom.

Loved walking the trails, reading about the various flora. Giant chessboard was a hit with my son. Lot's of shade to beat the heat with too. Spent about two hours wandering around the gardens. Free entry and free parking made it all the better!
