You can get pretty much anywhere in downtown walking from here. Good restaurants, bars, and museums. Is one of the Bly options that I found with breakfast, parking and Internet included. You can save a lot of money by having these 3 things included. Good service. Breakfast area is small for the times the hotel is fully booked.

In mid-May I was in Charlotte, NC, for my nephew's wedding. We stayed at the Hampton Inn Charlotte-Uptown for two nights. The hotel is excellent: very attractive, spotless, with very comfortable room. The staff was great: very friendly, especially Kim, in the breakfast area. The desk staff as also very good. They were right on top of things, quick to help get us around the city, and always cordial and polite, and friendly.

The city of Charlotte is the cleanest city, the loveliest city I think I've seen in the east. The buildings are very attractive, just about sparkling; the streets: I never saw one piece of litter. We ate at Metzer's Soul Food: what a fun experience. We walked right past the NASCAR museum.
which is across the street from the hotel. On the way back to the hotel, we went through a small park which I found enchanting. The "street signs" were named after famous authors. E.G. : one sign: the top sign said Alice, Texas; the sign beneath said Walker (can't recall where that is), so that the entire street sign said "Alice Walker." She is a famous American writer. At the entrance to the park are two enormous bronze statues of books, with titles on the binding.
The wedding was at the very charming, tiny St. Mary's Chapel, a former church. It is so lovely and the interior has maintained the stained glass windows and pews. The reception was at McGill Rose Garden, and there just aren't words to describe the incredible variety and beauty of the roses.

Charlotte, NC, is not to be missed.

Room Tip: I was on the 9th floor which gave a great view of the city.

We had just an over night stay but the facility and our room was very clean and suitable for our needs. We would certainly stay at this Hampton Inn again and would recommend it to others. One final note - It is located in a prime spot...we walked to supper and took in the sights by foot all through out the uptown Charlotte area.

This hotel was wonderful, it was located in uptown Charlotte and was convenient to all the attractions. The front office staff was so helpful and courteous. The room was clean and well maintained. Large bathroom, extra towels in the bathroom. Again, the breakfast buffet was hot and wonderful. The bed was awesome. Soft and comfortable. Great view from the room (703). They have Valet parking for $15.00 and garage parking for $10.00. We used the parking garage and each floor has its own entrance. Will be staying here again.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a great view

Nice, clean hotel room located close to NASCAR Hall of Fame, but not much else. You will still technically be in the Uptown area of Charlotte, but it's a bit of a walk through fairly desolate places if you want to get to where things are happening. The hotel is great, but the walk at night back to it from the happening places in Uptown will add a degree of nervousness.

I come here every year to attend a retreat. I've never been disappointed! Rooms are clean with nice comfy beds. Breakfast consists of hot items like sausage, waffles, eggs, etc. Staff is extremely welcoming and helpful! The hotel is within walking distance of quite a few attractions, restaurants, bars, etc.

This is the best place to stay for a quick overnight visit. It is clean and has been updated for a transitional, minimal design. The room was spotless. No, it isn't the Hilton or some fancy designer hotel, but for the price point and location it's unbeatable. They also provide a shuttle service uptown and back where there is a myriad of excellent restaurant choices.
