I visited this restaurant Friday and had house special fried rice. The rice was very good. I have eaten other things at this restaurant and it was good.

We were staying in South Park and just drove around to see what might be of interest in the neighborhood. We felt like Chinese or Thai and decided to give Baoding a try (had not checked reviews in advance). The place was hopping on a Friday night, with about 1/2 hour wait. We browsed in the stores in the shopping plaza while waiting. Our table was in a very busy spot near the kitchen and office and quite distracting, but there wasn't much choice on such a busy night. The service was very efficient and pleasant. We had hot & sour soup, moo shi vegetables and spicy shrimp with broc - all excellent. The owner (we assume) came by twice to check on us and thank us for waiting. The food is worth the wait.

Had a good experience as a first-time Baoding diner recently. Very nice atmosphere in this restaurant located in the Sharon Corners strip mall area near SouthPark (off Sharon Road).

Unlike some standard Chinese take-out restaurants, this one is a welcoming true eat-in restaurant with comfortable seating in booths and dimmed lighting.

I ordered hot tea and enjoyed the steaming green tea with lemon. As a vegetarian, I was pleased to see the veggie fried rice was a healthy option vs. the usual pork-fried rice. Brown ric was also an alternative. Our server offered chopsticks as well.

A companion ordered a chicken dish, and even after eating as much as she could, she had 2 take-out packs full of food to take home. I also took home the next day's lunch. Veggie fried rice was $8.95 but dinner did not include an egg roll.

Visitors can enjoy an easy after-dinner stroll within the same strip mall over to Home Goods or to Gigi's Cupcakes or other stores located nearby.

1. Customer Service: 5 spoon rating out of 5. As soon as we approached the restaurant the doors were open for us and we were greeted and promptly seated at our table. Our server was very attentive to all our needs. Ensured water glass never dipped below 3/4 full. Surrounding was very nice and clean. No stale smell. tables are nice and shiny, seats no crumbs. Clean feeling overall to enjoy a good meal.
2. Food:4.8 spoon rating out of 5 : We ordered the Chicken Fried Rice, Szechaun chicken, Hot sour soup and tea. Service size very bountiful. One order is enough for 3 hungry adults. (Needless to say we had leftovers) Taste very good, not too salty, sweet or bland. Good size meat and vegetables in the fried rice. Nice amount of spice. The Szechaun Chicken. (we ordered it extra, extra spicy) Being of Indian/Chinese decent still wasn't spicy for us. However flavor will not disappoint . Chicken nice and tender and not gooey. Vegetables nice a crisp. Temperature Hot. Soup, nice and hot and flavorful.
3. The check came promptly servers opened the doors as we left. Again Service exceed our
expectation.
Down Fall: At certain time of the day I believe from 3:00pm to 5:00pm they are closed. No worries there's always dinner time. =)
