Saturday lunch with my son. It was unexpectedly crowded for nearly 2pm so we had a brief wait. Lettuce wraps were good as always. We both had the lunch combo which includes soup or salad--kung pao chicken and sesame chicken. Good sized portions that were freshly prepared and hot. They don't have the old mini-desserts in a glass anymore but do have small portion desserts available. We enjoyed the chocolate peanut butter crunch. Service was very good overall. Only thing that was not optimal was when the lettuce wraps arrived less than a minute after we got our soup. Not sure if the timing issue was in the kitchen or with our server, but was not a big deal. There are many non-chain Oriental restaurants in Charlotte that offer a unique dining experience and are a better value than PF Changs, but the lunch combos are a good value and the experience is generally reliable with good food and service and a lot of menu choices. This PF Changs can get quite noisy and make it hard to carry on a conversation when crowded given the open ceiling with exposed duct work.
