“Best Greek restaurant in the area!”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

We are a fan of gyros and this is the best place we have found! It isn't what you we'd call a fancy restaurant, but it is the best gyro and Greek salad that we have found since moving here four years ago. They have great specials daily and amazing desserts. You will not be disappointed !

“Nasty”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

While we having our food the restaurant server came out from the restrooms after changing a little girl diaper in the middle of serving us.
Holding the rest of the diaper and wipe.
We left the place right away .didn't even finish the food.
Nasty

“Unexpected jewel of a lunch”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

Fish special was grilled fish (orange ruffy); other lunch special was a kebob plate. Both were excellent. The fish was treated exactly as we've eaten in Greece several times, wonderful balance of olive oil and spices. The portion of fish was as large as a dinner entree. Two large kebobs, one beef, one pork, the latter exceptionally good. Great fries on both plates. Two large very good Greek salads, with generous feta, and a couple of calamatas. Only flaw was very tough hides on the pickled peppers (please charge a bit more, spend a bit more, and get better peppers). Naturally helpful, pleasant, and attentive wait staff. Don't be made shy of the word "cafe" in the name. There is a seriously good cook working here. Try it.

“Delicious!!!”
Reviewed 25 December 2013

In town and decided to try a Greek place since my boyfriend is Greek. The staff was extremely nice...tried a new wine...the grape leaves are to die for....had the souvlaki pita and plate and it was delicious. Very generous portions. We definitely will be back before we head out of town! Best christmas lunch ever !

“VERY GOOD GREEK GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH”
Reviewed 2 December 2013

On my last day in North Carolina, I did some light hiking in Freedom Park. Then, I came here for lunch.

I had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with lettuce and tomato. It came with fries. The chicken was marinated so it was very flavorful. It was grilled nicely.

Service was very good.

The Mad Greek himself came out of the kitchen to have a cold drink with a local regular at a table near me. He stopped to ask how I liked my sandwich.

I'd eat here again on a return visit to Charlotte.
