“Park with a View”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

Nice little park to stop for a half hour or so. They've put quite a bit of work into it to make it nice. Great view of the skyscrappers! Got some good pics! Very close to the Visitor's Center on Tryon St.

“nice and will get nicer”
Reviewed 28 December 2013

Went here after work while uptown. This area is in desperate need of green space and although this park is small it has potential as a place for families. A baseball stadium is being built on one end of the park so obviously this area is not complete as of this writing.

“Well executed park with lots of potential”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

Bearden Park, at the time of this review, is only a couple of months old but it has tremendous potential. It's a compact park with well designed sectional themes and formal yet aesthetically pleasing landscaping and layout. I especially love the wonderful open ground and it would be awesome to spend lazy summer days there with a book. Lots of little things (like sound gongs and music floor tiles) for kiddies and it is within walking distance to great restaurants. When the ball park opens in 2014 it would be a perfect complement to the park. It is too small to make a special visit there but definitely make a point to drop by when you are in uptown Charlotte.

“A nice city park”
Reviewed 11 October 2013 via mobile

I can't wait to see what Charlotte does with this new location. It's got potential as it's near the stadium, eateries, offices to become a great meeting place.

“Romare Bearden Park”
Reviewed 6 October 2013

Fantastic new Uptown greenspace and highly crafted urban park across from the new baseball stadium and a short walk from offices, apartments, and condo's. Charlotte has needed an urban oasis since Marshall Park is basically a place for holding demonstrations. Well done Charlotte!! - even better would be a greenway link to the Little Sugar Creek Greenway through those surface parking lots before they get developed.
